wow, i have never written a review before, where to start.... anyone who knows me, knows that Ii am not a person who gets places early and then stands on line, but when traveling out to Joshua Tree this weekend, the amount of unsolicited recommendations aside, my friend and "Sherpa of all things cool and worthwhile" Amy said, we have to get up early tomorrow and we have to be the first ones on line! I acquiesced as she has never steered me wrong..

And what a joyful way to start our last day in Joshua Tree.

As someone who cooks everyday, i rarely eat a breakfast meal in restaurants that i could not duplicate (better) myself.

La Copine shattered that idea for me. From their Coconut Rice pudding which was such a lovely surprise to their BEC and Smoke and Hash Every dish we tried was expertly cooked and deliciously nuanced. We had a pretty good selection on the table and everyone including our picky daughters loved their meals. I can't wait to go back and have lunch or dinner. and yes, if i must, i will stand in line.

When you eat at La Copine, you're experiencing the same ingredients most good restaurants serve... eggs, meats, greens, potatoes, breads... but here it's just different. Flavors combine in unique and delightfully surprising ways. There are many options for all types of dietary preferences. I'm a vegetarian and substitute or add their veggie sausage to almost everything and it's always amazing. Warm and friendly staff and a wildly talented and creative chef. This is my favorite spot in the desert.

What a fabulous restaurant. And who would ever have guessed... after living in New Orleans for over 8 years outstanding beignets at a roadside diner in the middle of the desert!

We had the most amazing brunch/lunch on Sunday. Highlights were the beignets, the Franz toast, the special St. Patty's Guinesse braised corned beef...the list goes on and on. A funky, little place in the middle of NOWHERE, running a 30 minute wait...it's gotta be good! We will make the hours drive again and again. It's worth it!

We had a delicious brunch yesterday. The staff are very welcoming and love the setting and artwork. What a gem in the high desert, well worth the drive from Palm Springs. We will be back, thanks much for the great dining experience. We also want to come up for one of the supper club events with tapas and music and that desert night sky.

Waiting made no sense. Food made ALL the sense. Sitting outside to have a drink, which we were going to do anyway, then waiting 20 minutes watching empty tables we were seated. The food was amazing. Fried chicken, shrimp jaccarot and the chicken-duck mousse blew my socks off. I’d recommend this place hands down. Lovely staff and the FOOD!!

Very cool spot on the 247 out of Yucca Valley, Flamingo Heights area. Nicely done small menu of breakfast and lunch items. Price point is very reasonable and the quality and attention to detail are exceptional. Decor is minimalist and sleek without being severe, still feels inviting. We were impressed and will be visiting again!

Totally worth the wait. I absolutely love the food and the location. These women have done something phenomenal with La Copine, it’s too bad they’re open seasonally and take a little time off for a mid-year break.

This place, in the middle of nowhere, serves the best breakfast I've ever had. The menu is inspired breakfast and salads with the fresh ingredients and perfect cooking skills. This is a must if you find yourself in the middle of nowhere.

These women have created a hip hot spot in the Flamingo Heights area outside of Joshua Tree. The menu is just perfect with just enough choices to please ALL foodies. Definitely worth the drive to satisfy your gastronomic palette!!!!

Simply delightful. Service was friendly & efficient, food scrumptious and innovative, interior decor crisply black & white, yet warm & comfortable. Don't miss this place on Old Woman Springs Road in Flamingo Flats. Thumbs up for the beignets, Franz toast, & Royal Crumpet with vegetarian sausage. Wish I was there again!!!

Just had dinner with my girlfriend off the new lunch /dinner menu...I got the Pork belly & Papaya and Girlfriend got the Fried Chicken , both dishes were amazing and we got the peach crostata for dessert , I thought their brunch menu was amazing but dinner is something else and just as amazing...

I met 3 dear friends & musical collaborators for lunch yesterday, after a rough season, to say the least, and found the wonderful proprietor and the atmosphere she fosters to be nourishing in every sense, preparing us for the days and months ahead. I had the Wild & Free salad & it was so delicious & plentiful, I had the leftovers for lunch today.

I love simple, traditional breakfast dishes - eggs, bacon, toast - and La Copine does that to perfection. The freshest ingredients, inventive sauces and amazing flavors. My favorite breakfast anywhere.

Homestead Valley is so happy to have this amazing addition to our close-knit communities. Such great food and an excellent hi-desert atmosphere.

Everything that we had was exceptional. I loved the fried chicken. My husband had the braised rib sandwich that he loved. We are just sorry that we had not been there before since we are locals. The service was excellent and you could tell that the employees loved working here.

Delicious! I had the French Toast with Apple/Maple syrup and a wonderful ricotta topping! If you know me you know I love SUGAR; it was fabulous soaked in custard and actually not as sweet as it sounds but fr:#}ing unbelievable. The home made sausage Jesus!

Try it and everything else I will be back!
