A huge selection of healthy menu items for Breakfast and lunch in a unique relaxing atmosphere. The interior is designed with dark cozy woods and has both booths and tables. The outdoor decking and back patio are perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon lunch get-together. The large selection of items on the menu can be a little overwhelming especially when they all sound so good. There are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, fish and chicken options to choose from and all are carefully labeled. My favorite breakfast is the three-egg omelet and my number one lunch pick is the veggie lasagna. The over-size burritos are also a good option to try. The combination of super congenial staff and wonderful food always make me want to come back! Stopping by Lotus Cafe & Juice Bar after visiting the SRF meditation gardens makes for a perfect afternoon.
This place is seated in the hub of the Encinitas Lumberyard situated around several yoga studios. It is a great place to meet a friend for yoga and then grab a drink after class. They make a variety of herbal teas, kombucha, and cold-pressed juices. I think I even had a sarsaparilla in here once.
The setting here is always very casual and they have outside heat lamps. They also make several dishes but I have not tried one yet. You can sit inside or outside. The restaurant is dog-friendly.
We love this place! Light and airy inside, healthy, tasty food. No red meat but they do have fish and fowl in addition too many vegan, veg and gluten free options. Friendly service, great prices.
Went for brunch. Good vegan sausage AND bacon that is actually crispy. Buckwheat pancakes (served til 12pm) are vegan and tasty and come with fresh blueberries, strawberries and bananas. They also have regular non-vegan pancakes and French toast (also only served til 12pm). The breakfast sweet potatoes are a bit too soft/mushy. I like my breakfast potatoes to have a crispy edges. Several vegan baked goods are offered and looked good but I was too full to try them. Five stars for quality, freshness, variety and service!
Great food. Huge portions too. Great shopping right next door too!
One star seems like too much. This place use to be fantastic. While the food is still okay unfortunately the service is horrendous...the price isn't worth being ignored.
I love the food, smoothies, and juices here. They have a lot If vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Parking is a little challenging, but you can find a space within a couple of laps. The prices are reasonable for a place offering so many healthy options. The crowd trends young and it is usually very crowded. Because it is a cafe, though, people don't usually linger and the wait is not long.
I come from Seattle every year and I always be sure to eat here. It is one of the highlights of my trip. The food is great and I love the friendly staff. One of them even saw me walking and stopped to make sure I was going the right way, as I had mentioned my destination. He saved me a lot of walking! I look forward to some of their great food again next year!
I had the salmon sandwich special and my friend had the avocado sandwich. We both loved our food, but we're still hungry when we left so we walked up the road and got frozen yogurt. We sat outside and it was very nice, lots of seating, plenty of umbrellas to provide shade. I had my dog with me and it seemed to be very pet friendly. This was my second visit and both times the food was great! The price is good, food is good, juice is good, and a large menu especially for vegan or gluten free!
The artichoke pesto chicken is life. The food is really good. The decor from India is beautiful. It's an amazing place to go, will be back often.
This place honestly deserves 6 stars. Everything on the menu is excellent, especially the pesto artichoke chicken sandwich. Portions are perfect and prices are extremely fair, what else could you ask for?
I come all the way from vista to eat here usually once a week. The quality you get for the price is a great value. They only use real maple syrup which is testimony towards their commitment to quality ingredients, including free range eggs. This is seriously a place worth supporting.
Counter service with food brought to table. Food comes on real ceramic plates. Self-serve water (and reusable glasses), napkins, utensils. Lots of tables. I enjoyed my vegan tofu scramble for $8.95 (9.67 with tax). It is a good place to go on a date. It is not a good place if you are really in a rush.
