I had high hopes for Merengue Bakery & Cafe, but it fell flat. The coffee was lackluster, and the pastries were uninspiring. I won't be returning anytime soon.

So, Merengue Bakery & Cafe in 417 South Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia, CA 91016 – it's a bit of a hit and miss. The mocha was A+, but the Wi-Fi was a solid F. I had better luck connecting with my imaginary friend than to their network. Come for the coffee, but bring your own hotspot.
