This place serves both Chinese and basic American food. The place looks straight out of the 1940s (probably authentic), the service is very good, and the prices are very reasonable. 5 stars on this one!
Seriously, the best Chicken Chow Mein ever. And I come here regularly because of the cushy booths and the gasoline strong coffee. Oh and the homemade soups that come with your meal. My favorite Chinatown restaurant.
Love their pork chops! Reminiscing the old days when my high school coach used to take us there after the season!
Kept hearing and seeing post from here and finally got a chance to try it. Roast pork and gravy was yummy.
Staff was friendly too.
I've been going to New Lun Ting since 1955, when I was 3 years old. My Grandfather used to take me there and we would share roast pork with a lot of orange/brown gravy over rice, and cabbage. After all these years, the roast pork and gravy taste just the same as it did when I was a little kid. Sometimes I plan on ordering something different, but when it comes time to order, I can't help myself and just have to have my fix of roast pork with gravy over rice, and cabbage. Lol :)
I love New Lun Ting (PCH's) delish food & Staff!
Everyone should go & try their food.
Limited street parking, public garages available within walking distance, ur best bet take public transportation!
Had the famous Roast Pork over rice with cabbage .. I can't believe all the years I lived next to Chinatown, I walked by and never went in .. NOW .. I will NEVER just walk by again .. Absolutely Delicious ... The advice I received from Norman Fong at the Eat Chinatown exhibit to try New Lun Ting Cafe was the bomb .. New Lun Ting Cafe is a GEM of Chinatown .. what an extensive long-time history it has .. such friendly service .. I felt like I was at HOME .. :) :)
Great place very old school and the food is awesome!!! Big portions too!!! Must try if had not!!!
Been enjoying since original owner their roastpork since 1964. Recommend almost anything on their menu. Love oxtail, prime rib, cornbeef, stew & always their handmade fried dumplings!!
