Ocean Beach was refreshing, relaxed and full of culture, food and art! I got to see so many surfers today, of all ages. I loved seeing families, seniors having fun, enjoying the beach. I ate at the Cafe' on the boardwalk, the shrimp basket with chips and jalapeno hush puppies! It was enough food for three of us and it was less than $15 dollars! My first time at Ocean Beach was great! Take your loved ones there!
The first place I ever had a fish taco in San Diego! It was one of the best first meals here, and has given many more great meals since! The birds and fishermen are a sight to see and the atmosphere fitting of a pier.
Best fish taco and lobster taco ever! Love this little cafe! Food and service were great, loved eating on the pier. Such a great place to stumble across while exploring Ocean Beach
The food is great and what a wonderful view. You have the bait shop next door which is really cool for spending the day fishing. The help is really friendly and you see people from all over.
I always go to the pier to go fishing and have been to the cafe on the pier they have really great food and the prices are reasonable. There customer service can be a little bit better but over all a great place. I would totally recommend it to friends and family.
Don't know where to start, honestly I expected way more for the long walk I made from the street all through the pier to get to the cafe, I had the "award winning clam chowder" which wasn't anything like I had before, it was sticky, tasted more like potato cream soup than clam chowder, my mom ordered the fish sandwich platter and it supposed to come with a sourdough roll and the bread we saw, was a hot dog bread like the ones in Costco, also ordered the tackle box, is like a sampler platter, rolled tacos came in the order and it was disgusting they where dripping oil and fries where black of being so overcooked, ordered a bowl of chili and chili was dry and sticky like gum, like eating chili gum. I think the cook is new or something and not to be mean but fyi if you come to the place and see this African American cook might as well save your money and go somewhere where you will get better food, the bright side was the server was great very attentive, only reason I'm giving 2 stars.
Fries were over cooked, fish was under cooked. Poor quality food. Service was good but it took a long time.
"Best fries in town" I think not. Way too salty and fried for my taste. Willing to give them a try again, but not anytime soon.
The views and the attentiveness of the staff here are spectacular! We enjoyed sitting in and taking it all in, without the windiness. The food was good, but not amazing, and the finish on the table was a bit sticky but apart from that, the decor tied into the place really nicely. Nice little cafe on a lovely pier.
Fries they made are so good, its almost biblical. I loved how they even served the soda without the cap so that you could either use a straw or drink out of cup. I really like that.
Even the employees there are good people. Like good as in kind.
Quaint little setting on the pier. Friendly service, quiet venue. Enough selection to choose from. Great food reasonably priced.
The food is not the greatest. The views are great though.
Location, good food and hot cocoa while watching all the beauty unfold around you... astounding.
Nice little stop at the end of the pier before you head back. They have free water on the counter...or at least I think it's free.
