Excellent service, Great, fresh, quality food. Fair and reasonable prices. All this said, even though there is nothing I can say bad about the place we didn't experience anything special that told us we need to go back again and soon.

Been a busy place forever! Great breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Open 6AM to 2PM only. When you arrive, you must sign-in your group for seating and wait inside or outside, they will call you by name. If you come alone, the first open counter seat will be yours. Pancakes, crepes, Omelets, or Fritatta style omelets, sandwiches, soups, desserts. Some dishes come with Refried Beans cooked from scratch that are awesome! No alcohol. You can take the trolley to Old Town Station across the street to get to Perry's. Yes, Old Town State Park is just a stroll away, walk off your breakfast! Huge parking lot both sides of Perry's. Wheelchairs can be accommodated as big tables come open. Enjoy!

I had the worst experience at this establishment. First I want to mention this is not the first time we've been here.

We asked to be seated in a larger table even though it was only the two of us when we signed in (after waiting 15 min we reminded the manage) he refused to do that for us. He had us wait another 10 min. Even though there were empty tables. When I asked for his name he was hesitant and gave me the wrong name. After getting seated I asked our waitress and she gave use the correct name Ernesto Lopez. (working Sunday, November 5 2017 )he was rude and used his title to to " show he was in charge. He needs to be RE-TRAINED and remember that the customer's "needs" need to be address.. Personally I believe there needs to be a change in management.
If he can cook, put him in the back . He's definitely NOT a people's person.

Always-busy old-school traditional diner with the friendliest wait staff anyplace. Check the hours of operation before heading over - - - only serves breakfast and lunch. Prices are on the high side. Ample free parking. Family friendly. Be prepared to wait to be seated during weekend rush.

Great atmosphere and service. I have not tried the food extensively. The godfather and hash browns were okay. The French toast was good and the whole wheat pancakes were okay. The coffee was weak and too easily sweetened. Very busy place, so I am assuming we tried the wrong food. Will try again sometime.

Great food and excellent customer service by Crystal B. She'll take care of you. She had several tables and still ensured that my family's food needs were met. We tipped her 40%.

Food was over the top in quality and abundance. The service was attentive and fast and you never were lacking in beverage or food extras or just a friendly face for anything. I guess you can say you were never left wanting anything. I was recommended to here by the maintenance staff of sea world they even hv street parking for big rigs

I just went for the first time and I already adore this place. The retro vibe, the quick and attentive staff, short wait for food, sugar and cream on the table. This place runs like a well oiled ship. Our table was bussed before we could blink our eyes after getting up. I had a waffle egg bacon combo. The waffle was very similar to Waffle House waffles from back east that I have been missing badly. My husband had a spinach frittata (that was not skimped with cheese in the least) with hash browns that I stole a bite of, his meal was very good. Our waitress made her rounds offering a coffee fill every time she passed our table. We were both seriously impressed and will be back soon.

I came back and tried more things. The biscuits are not flaky fluffy buttermilk biscuits, they're more crumbly like cornbread.

The chips and guacamole and really good. They make the chips to order. They were still hot and a little chewy on some parts.

This place was good. The breakfast food was very good and delicious. There was lots to choose from on the menu. It does however get very busy, so there is a bit of a wait on your food. The staff can sometimes be in their own world and can not here you speak to them as they walk past you multiple times. It does get very loud here and crowded. Id come here again, even with its minor issues.

I've been eating breakfast here for about 20 years. One of the best options anywhere for a great breakfast. Big portions with a wait staff that is ultra fast and efficient. If traditional breakfast foods are not your thing, you can have enchiladas or anything else from their extensive menu. Hands down, one of the best breakfasts in the West.

This is a good breakfast spot. We came here on our hotel's recommendation. The staff is nice and your coffee cup will never be empty. Our breakfast was delicious and we had no complaints.

Give it four stars for what it is, a great breakfast joint. Nothing amazing, nothing complicated, just good classic breakfast. Even with the wait(every breakfast place in San Diego has a wait) they are quick with the food.

Typical diner food, but not very flavorful. My waffle wasn't memorable except for the extreme amount of whip cream topping it. Decor is reminiscent of an elderly care facility.
