OPEN MIC! TONIGHT! One year anniversary this month! It's been amazing seeing Tina initiate this project from infancy to the swarm of talent that fills our store on the last Friday of every month, from 6pm-8pm.

nice location, set off Gilman so its not too noisy even outside on the patio. Good parking, they have a lot. More outdoor seating than indoor. Soon Whole Foods will be across the street. Coffee is good, choose your roast and they pour over fresh, with heavy cream and sweetener they add for you, if you want it. My only complaint is the layout of the entry and exit door, as you come up the stairs the door is to the left, not a perfect flow, but this is a minor detail. I went into the door that was propped open(exit). For those that need a lift, one is available, dont let the stairs deter you! Good stufff!

Philz has the best coffee. Jacobs sweet and creamy is my jam. Friendly baristas, good coffee, and they work through the long line pretty quickly.

In LOVE!!! I had a Philtered Soul Soy Mocha. OMG 😍 The baristas are friendly and helpful, and the place has a chill vibe. I felt instantly welcome and was served quickly even though they were busy!

The sad part is that there isn't a Philz in my area. I'll be back next time I'm in Berkeley 👍🏾

I finally made it to Philz after hearing raves for so long about how great the coffee is. Love the vibe, love the welcoming staff, love the creative approach to mixed drinks, love the pastries,and love the coffee !
