Favorite restaurant in PG growing up and it’s still my go to when I visit. The restaurant itself is super cute and is situated inside a house. It’s best to go early because the brunch crowd makes the wait up to an hour or more. I love getting breakfast here but their dinner is excellent as well. My favorite is the potato pancake with smoked salmon and don’t forget to add the poached egg.
Fast service with a cozy home style atmosphere. The food was traditional with a gourmet twist. I recommend sitting next to the warm fireplace on a cold morning.
Delicious dinner and dessert. Good service and reasonable prices. Small, cozy place (I'm sitting on the padded bench near the window). Definitely want to check out breakfast.
A fun place to go, especially for breakfast. Very busy, with a wait, on the weekends but worth the wait. The food is good, nice selection and the service is good. Very cozy. It's an old Victorian-style home
A little wait to get in at 12:30 on a Saturday, but the brunch was excellent. The crab cake benedict was very nicely done. The potatoes that came with it were also cooked nicely, thought a little plain. It's a little bit of a tight fit inside. I prefer to be outside if the weather is decent. Really enjoyed it!
Awesome service, awesomely tasty food. Classy, yet homey. Small and charming. Call first before you show up, just in case!
Lots of vegetarian choices. Arrive early to have fast seating. Quaint decor. Parking is on the street.
Wonderful little cafe set in an old house, fresh cooked food, staff and menu stays consistent. Dogs okay at sidewalk tables. Cozy friendly spot for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. Homemade desserts.
It took about an hour an half to be seated and then about an hour to get our food once we ordered. Food was okay but not two and half hours of a wait good. I would recommend many other places prior to the Red House.
I really wanted to like this place. It is so quaint and whimsical. We went for breakfast, they don't open til 8, I don't even know if the food was good. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable. It felt like no employee wanted to be there. If you are going to have a breakfast place, perhaps you should hire morning people.
Nice comfortable converted house with a fair amount of seating. Super friendly and attentive service with great food. Get there early or expect a wait as it is popular.
Good food. Decent service. Horribly overcrowded, stuffing tables in every nook and cranny without enough room for people to walk by without bumping your table; noisy and don't even think of using the bathroom the line was out the door and standing right next to people eating. 😝 One toilet for the entire restaurant. Not handicap accessible.
We have been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have enjoyed all of our meals. They also serve fabulous mimosas. They have a few tables on the sidewalk that are dog friendly. It's small inside, so you might have to wait on the weekends, but it's totally worth it!
This place is good. Just plain good. It's an old house in Pacific Grove, which means quarters can be a little cramped, as they are always packed. Waits are the norm, but worth it. Food is top quality and innovative as well as traditional. Staff is first class. I highly recommend this fine restaurant.
