What a cute place to grab a cup of coffee and eat some snacks. We came here right after went to Griffith observatory. It is about 10 minutes drive from the Griffith observatory. This place is very cozy. They serve vegan food as well. The coffee is stumptom organic coffee. Love it, especially their cold brew was great. They also provide house-made almond milk. How do they make almond milk for daily supply, I don't know. But I do know it tastes good. We had granolas with almond milk. Very healthy and light. The granola contains raisins and some kind of berries that has ginger flavor in it. I like it.
The vegan avocado bowl was good but a little bit on the pricey end after you take off the bread, the cheese, the mayo. You only left 4 pieces of tomato's, a bed of sprouts, and two scoops of avocados with soy bacon as a topping. It still tastes pretty good, but certainly not filling.

The seating area is very cozy and decorated with string light. It looks much cuter when it gets dark. There is a park across the street which is good for kids. There is also a hiking trail where you can hike all the way to Griffith observatory. The hiking trail is pretty shady with all the trees on the sides. It's much pleasant than walking on the driving path up to observatory. I'll definitely take my family and friends here.

Fantastic location! Easy to get to. Great for a cup of coffee and a hike. Quiet. Casual. Hard to believe you're still surrounded by people when you get here. It's an oasis for a calm afternoon. Easy to spend the whole day just enjoying the environment. Parking was easy to find. Calm setting. A nice break from the rat race.

The food at The Trails cafe is amazing. Everyone else already said everything about the food so there isn't much to add. It really is what everyone says.

What I do want to...

This is one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots to grab coffee or a quick bite in all of LA. Their gluten free cookies and vegan pies are particularly noteworthy. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly when I visit. Earlier this summer I had some family coming into town and, after speaking with the owner about some ideas I had to make their visit extra special, I was thrilled that he was so willing and gracious to accommodate. Everyone had a wonderful time. This cafe and the surrounding park are a must visit in Los Angeles.

Wonderful customer service, great food and beautiful scenery.
I got the avocado sandwich, it was delish! Vanilla latte was so good and served with a heart on top. Lemonade was fresh and tasty. Chocolate chip cookie was homemade and so good. I had to go buy another. Lavender cookie, to be tasted but looks and smell wonderful.
I have to go back a couple more times

Delicious, freshly-prepared food, friendly to vegans and carnivores alike. MY favorites are grilled cheese and the lavender-vanilla cookies. The cookies are a religious experience. Always clean, often a line so choose an off-time to snack.

This place is awesome! Yummy sandwiches, delicious pies and great coffee. Lots of outdoor seating. Must stop if you are visiting Griffith Park. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the gluten-free cookie! It would be better if they had it separate from the other items so it would not make me sick because of cross contamination. I have learned from experience to eat the middle and give the rest to my husband, not that that works every time. 🤔 I love the vibe and location... I would live there if I could!

Awesome little treasure to stumble upon after hiking up to the observatory. Great cookie and they serve stumptown coffee!

Don't ever eat their food. Got food poisoning after eating lunch here on recommendation from my wife's uncle. Eating their hot dog wrapped in a pastry led to me throwing up and bed ridden for 3 days. I'll never forget that horrible experience. Save yourself

Nice spot but a really long line and service is not at a rushed pace. The staff is really nice and friendly and don't rush you through the ordering process. We had a snake dog, egg in the pocket, avocado sandwich and the peach blueberry pie. Egg in the pocket was the best tasting thing we got. Snake dog is just a sausage dog wrapped in a puff pastry. The bread for the avocado sandwich was fresh but the filling was missing something. The pie was healthy tasting and didn't seem like they added much extra sugar. Definitely a cute spot but I probably wouldn't be a regular here.
