I had high hopes for Cafe Chiya, nestled in the heart of 40-13 35th Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101, but left feeling underwhelmed. The ambiance was promising, with local art on the walls and a live band setting up. However, the coffee, which should be the star of the show, was mediocre.
