Authentic Austrian food, with a cozy rustic decor in Manhattan Lower East Side. I had the Schnitzel and the Pickled Herring was amazing. All portions were generous and the price was fair. Our waitress was extremely helpful in explaining the menu. The restaurant has both a bar and table service.

I had high hopes for Cafe Katja, but unfortunately, they fell short. The espresso lacked depth and flavor, and the service was slow. It's a shame because the cafe had such a promising ambiance. I hope they can improve their coffee quality and efficiency in the future.
