On a nice evening, it doesn't get much better than going to Garden Cafe's outdoor seating area, having a glass of wine and a bite to eat. At least in Inwood. The food is good, for the most part, and we recently had some especially nice dessert items here, but I think the ambiance takes center stage. They often have live jazz music, which is also quite nice.

Love the outdoor seating in the back. They have free WiFi and are ok with laptops and just getting coffee or something small. Wish they had flavored lattes though.

The food is decent and less pretentious than other places in the neighborhood, and thebl outdoors seating is incaluable, as it's rare around here. Wait staff are trying their best.
All is well here... when it's open.
Time and again have I waited outside a locked restaurant with the staff, because the manager didn't show up to open up the place. Or he kept the patio locked until he decided to show up for breakfast. At noon.
Not acceptable in NY.

Great place. Brunch until 4PM on weekends. Great place for a first date, get together with friends and family or a meeting. Nice music. Not loud.

Good food, good drinks, and an outdoor space in the back with table service. It's hard to ask for more. Be sure to try the steak.

The food was quite delicious, I got a hamburger and fries which was pretty good. The waiter was was attentive as he came back asked how we liked the food which I liked. Atmosphere was mellow and they some very nice music on. Gave it a very slow and relaxed feel. Definitely would go again.

Great experience ! First time ever . It was a complete surprise for me. I thought it would be a simple place same old regular service. But this is a diamond in the rough. I eat out a lot and it has character great food, great prices and great service. I definitely will be returning.

Great customer service. The waiter went out in the rain to get a candle for my dessert to surprise me. The food was great and reasonably priced.

A neighborhood favorite! Love the outdoor patio. Saturday brunch at Garden Cafe is always great. Good service. The staff is attentive and pleasant.
