This place was packed when I visited, it smelled so good that I decided to wait for a table. Best decision ever. The food was wonderful. Try the Scottish Salmon Rounds and Russian Caravan tea.

Really great spot. I was there for a private event, so I can't say anything about the service. It looks like a very old fashioned home, BUT if you're going out for tea that you drink in pretty tea cups, what do you want it to look like????? The food was so good. We had a huge variety of finger sandwiches and desserts and fresh fruit. SO GOOD!! Ok, the scone with the JAM..........TO DIE FOR!!!!!! I wanted to ask them if I could buy a jar of that jam but was too caught up in the after affects of the baby shower. This is en route to my trips to Westchester from Orange County. I see myself going this route more often JUST to stop for the scones and jam!

The Afternoon Tea tower was excellent! The wait staff were wonderful and friendly.

What a charming atmosphere! Kathleen's Tea Room is in the heart of Peekskill right on Main Street with parking all up and down the street and a side parking lot for extra spaces! (Tip: go on weekends because the parking meters on Saturday and Sunday are free!) Peak hours for Kathleen's are around noon as this place is the perfect spot for a casual lunch with family and friends. Walking in you are reminded of the classic "Country Kitchen" style restaurant, with the theme being- you guessed it- tea!!! One of my favorites are the super fresh crumpets which come with fresh fruit, as well as delicious creamy classic style butter and jam! I also love their Reuben sandwich! Another favorite are their delicious Salmon Rounds. They have a lovely side salad that comes with some meals which include super fresh and delicate "Hearts of Palm"! For dessert try the Peach Melba; their raspberry sauce is "to die for"! You'll feel right at home here. The lighting is comforting, and it feels like you are in somebody's fancy antique-decorated dining room, ready to meet Grandma for tea! It's so nice to be surrounded by their beautiful tea-themed antiques, and in the winter make sure to try to get that lovely spot by the fireplace! My favorite tea here is unusual one: it's the classic burnt woodash flavor of the mysterious tea Lapsang Souchon (an "acquired taste" as my Husband says), and they have an incredibly long list to look through and find the right one that suites you! Choose from black tea to green tea to white, and some unusual ones too! You can even get tea to go for an affordable $2.00 per cup! Their staff is always friendly, polite and prompt and always ready to be of assistance if needed. Kathleen's Tea Room is a cosy and friendly place to visit for comforting fair any day of the year!

Oh My Goodness!! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great!! OH lets not forget the waitresses, very friendly and attentive.. I highly recommend this place...

Yummy food and great service. They have a nice selection of food especially the salads. They also have a selection of quiche that's very good as well. Of course there's lots of tea to choose from along with yummy lemonades (if they don't run out). The shine desserts are amazing and you shouldn't leave without trying one.

Excellent lunch menu, extensive variety of teas and moderately priced. Took my daughter there for lunch and she loved everything about this place. Will definitely go again, I recommend it highly and parking lot and garage situated to the right of rest.

Their scones are to die for! I got the strawberry shortcake which comes sandwiched between a scone, and it was AMAZING. That cream, those fruits, the scone, so buttery and good! Love the environment and friendly services too! Very affordable tea house!
