I called in on a Friday afternoon asking if they're serving food at the time, only because their hours of service stayed on google seemed misleading. I was told that they're up and running and serving until 9pm. I arrive 5 minutes later with my mother(of Hispanic decent) and was told by the Hispanic host that they're not serving any food and are only serving drinks at the bar. When I asked why... Her response was there are three big parties being dealt with at the time. I looked around there were several open tables. I said ok thank you. I call again just to ask the lady who answers the 1st time ...why didn't she explain they were not serving ppl at this time. And her reply "management decided on this 5 minutes ago." That was my experience...

We hired New Leaf to host our wedding reception and they did an amazing job. The food was incredible and the staff were completely organized and simplified our lives in the planning. Highly recommended for events.

And as a regular restaurant they are fantastic also - great food, elegant furnishings and perfect location in the middle of Fort Tryon Park, right by the iconic Heather Garden.

Great location and great food. Pretty standard American food, some healthy options which I didn't choose. I thought the views were what made this place stand out the most. I had the burger which you can customize to suit yourself. I had it with bacon and they do the bacon really well, crispy and well done. I had asked for the burger to be done medium and it came out well too. It comes with a ton of fries which are super tiny, hot and crispy. I would recommend this place and return as well

First the menu was very badly presented, there are no organic eggs so I had to get a different plate. They also don't make a freshly squeezed orange juice. The servings were tiny and the avocado seemed expired for 2 weeks. So I am never coming back!

Went here for brunch on a Saturday, was hoping for lunch but they only had brunch options available. For a set price of $25 they do have a wide array of options available, and it includes coffee and a cocktail. For what you get it is a good deal. The food took 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered poached eggs and smoked salmon and it was delicious. Great quality. Great music!!! 80s and 90s. The staff is ok, not super friendly but not in your face either. I would bring guests here for the good food and nice atmosphere surrounded by green park.

We just left after an extremely poor dining experience. We arrived with reservations, two senior citizens and two kids. It took two hours to get our entrees and one of them never even made it out.

Having worked as a waitress, I am usually quick to acknowledge the challenges of large groups but there were maybe 30 people in the place and our table had nothing on it most of the time we were there. We had to chase staff down to place orders, ask for bread, ask for bread plates, ask where our food was (after an hour and a half and watching other tables get served) and finally for the bill.

We were repeatedly told that the manager would be out to talk to us, but he never came. When we left, he was sitting at the empty bar chatting it up with the bartender. The food was okay at best for the price point and the waitress was apologetic but also super inattentive.

We live in the neighborhood and we had been hopeful that the new management would be better than in the past. If anything it was dramatically worse. Maybe brunch is good and they just haven't figured how to serve dinner.

I had a very nice dinner here with my girlfriend, we sat outside, the outside seating is so great, until we heard the music. Hip Hop in the middle of very calm environment, it did not work for me. We had the chicken wings for start, they were good. My girlfriend had the crab cake and I had the burger. We had a lovely dinner and even tho my girlfriend found a very small crab shall, it did not disturbed us, and the manager quickly change the dish. Amazing place, even the waiters are nice.

What a wonderful restaurant! I'd been there before, just after its refurbishment two years ago--but was astounded by how far it has come in elegance, ambience, and service! My husband had a delicious Cobb salad and then a roasted half chicken, and I had an equally delicious prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer, with their signature crab cake sandwich for my main course. The dessert was a scrumptious apple tart. The service was exactly the speed I like as a New Yorker: Calm yet attentive! We couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience, and we resoundingly recommend the New Leaf Cafe!

This is one of the most transporting experiences that new york city has to offer. When you are here, it's very easy to forget that you are in the city. Solid food, good drinks, and excellent service.

When the weather is nice, it's really pleasant to walk through the park and then have lunch or dinner in the New Leaf's back garden. Their cocktail program is top-notch with lots of seasonal specials. The food is pretty good and fresh, though kind of pricey, and the weekend brunch is very popular. I'd recommend a relaxing cocktail at the bar after a visit to the Cloisters.
