1st time here in years. Very accommodating to a large group, offered a conference room upstairs for our use, when we called ahead. Worked out well, didn't need the conference room. Will be keeping it in mind for future gatherings/outings, etc. Early Saturday afternoon was a good day/time for what we had going on, wasn't so busy or crowded that we couldn't enjoy conversation and atmosphere.
One of the chefs--a skinny guy with long hair--went to the restroom for number 2 and DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS.
This is disgusting when you're not cooking for others, and even more atrocious when you are.
I will not be ordering food from here again.
So I order a turkey sandwich and a large coffee - pay $12.75 for it and just receive a credit card receipt without order details on it. When my meal comes up there is no drink so I asked for it. The cashier turns around and says "Well, you didn't pay for a coffee" and goes back to his register.
I took some cash out, walked to the register, and the cashier walked away. So now I am eating Rochester's most expensive turkey sandwich and have nothing to drink. Should have gone to Starbucks because they atleaast own up to their mistakes and attempt to make it right.
Don't waste your time with a company that does not value you as a customer.
Used to be better when it was bigger and had the couch seating near the fireplace. Definitely too loud, too hot and a little dirty service was slow and too many people just lounging doing their homework. Maybe it was just that way because it was the weekend hopefully if I come back there again it'll be a little better.
Good coffee, great desserts, interesting people watching. Love it's open late, bit parking can be tricky. Good food, too. Appreciate the student discount with ID sometimes the noise level is a bit overwhelming, but we earplugs and enjoy.
Great vibe and a solid menu. Prices are good on coffee, though I think they charge a bit for adding flavors, etc... Well worth it though! Really enjoy the spaciousness of the cafe.
Service is absolutely wonderful! Morgan is awesome!. Coffee/ Lattes are incredible... cozy and can read a good book with minimal interruption... LOVE SPOT COFFEE
Very good food in a great environment. Yes it is a little overpriced, but the price is almost worth it. Very good place to sit on a laptop and work. Awesome.
If you're going to visit a "chain", come here. Every Spot has a completely different vibe. Coffee is very good, deserts are delicious and the pizza is great. Good food menu selection, very friendly
Who ever the young lady that's working this morning here is, her customer service sucks!!! I wasn't standing in line for fun and I'm totally not less visible than the elderly white lady or the well suited white male that came in after me. A simple hello may I help you would have been appreciated... It's not like I possess deficiencies in the English vernacular or that I was merely standing there so long for my health...Wow... Never again 🤔
This is a great local place to sit relax and have coffee. They also have some good omelettes as well
Stopped into Cafe Sasso for a quick coffee and lunch. I found the restaurant to be a bit cold (literally) but enjoyed my food/drink (a bagel sandwich and cappuccino). The decor and ambiance was really cute and trendy. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'll definitely stop in for a cup of joe!
The reason why I am giving this place such a low score has nothing to do with the food. The people were nice, and the food was okay, definitely not a bad place, and it is quite popular. However, they really need some better ventilation because the entire place is saturated with oil in the air. It is pretty obvious when you enter, but it is only really noticeable when you come out and all your clothes smell like oil...I just find it disgusting.
I have been there several times in the past year, and my clothes reek so much that I have to keep my windows open when I am driving back home.
Please keep this in mind if you plan to go somewhere important or meet anyone after hanging out at this place.
However, if you are not that sensitive about the smell of oil in your clothing and skin, then this is not a bad place to go.
