Very unique place. The chef is a genius at creating amazing food. This is a dining experience not an in and out place. The complimentary cold pasta is so yummy.

Fantastic food, great service. Don't be deceived by the lobby (could use some love down there). The dining area has a great view and a modernish feel. Since it was our first time there, the chef sent us a free cold pasta that was amazing. One issue some may have is that it is a cash-only place (no credit cards). I'll would definitely go again.

Expensive, and ran out of the one dish I wanted, but good food and a nice view : ) be prepared to wait a long time for the actual entreé, this is a multi-course meal.

The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) at 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA was a pleasant surprise. The chai latte was a flavor explosion in my mouth, and the place had this rustic charm that was just lovely. The barista even threw in some latte art, which made me feel fancy. I'll be back to explore their menu further!

I expected more from The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical). The coffee at 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA was mediocre, and the pastries were uninspiring. Given the hype surrounding The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical), I was let down by the coffee's lack of depth and the unremarkable pastries.
