Very unique place. The chef is a genius at creating amazing food. This is a dining experience not an in and out place. The complimentary cold pasta is so yummy.

Fantastic food, great service. Don't be deceived by the lobby (could use some love down there). The dining area has a great view and a modernish feel. Since it was our first time there, the chef sent us a free cold pasta that was amazing. One issue some may have is that it is a cash-only place (no credit cards). I'll would definitely go again.

Expensive, and ran out of the one dish I wanted, but good food and a nice view : ) be prepared to wait a long time for the actual entreé, this is a multi-course meal.

So, I decided to check out The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) at 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA, and it was a bit of a letdown. The iced mocha was way too sweet for my taste, and the place was a bit cramped. Not sure if I'll be back.

I recently visited The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) during a quick stop in 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA, and it left a lasting impression. The macchiato I had was a perfect balance of espresso and foamy goodness. The café's cozy ambiance and friendly baristas create a welcoming environment that's hard to beat. I'll be back for sure.
