Very unique place. The chef is a genius at creating amazing food. This is a dining experience not an in and out place. The complimentary cold pasta is so yummy.

Fantastic food, great service. Don't be deceived by the lobby (could use some love down there). The dining area has a great view and a modernish feel. Since it was our first time there, the chef sent us a free cold pasta that was amazing. One issue some may have is that it is a cash-only place (no credit cards). I'll would definitely go again.

Expensive, and ran out of the one dish I wanted, but good food and a nice view : ) be prepared to wait a long time for the actual entreé, this is a multi-course meal.

Been there 4 times... loved every meal !
And YES ! That cold salad is something legends are made from !!! :)

I had high expectations for The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical), but they were not met. The coffee tasted bland, and the pastries were stale. The overall experience was lackluster, and I won't be returning.

The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) is a coffee lover's paradise. The attention to detail in brewing is impressive, and their specialty lattes are a work of art. The cozy corner is perfect for reading a book.

The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) in 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA has a fantastic atmosphere for studying or working. Their pour-over coffee is exquisite, and I love spending hours there, sipping on their brews.

The coffee at The River Street Cafe (Closed Until Fall 2018, Chef Is On Sabbatical) was a revelation! I couldn't get enough of their specialty brews, and the charming, rustic vibe at the 429 River St, Troy, NY 12180, USA location added to the overall experience. I can't wait to return for more.
