Love the Wobble! Great Vegetable Egg Strudel, Grits and Pain Perdu and good coffee, etc.
I took my boyfriend who was visiting for the weekend to the Wobble Cafe, expecting to have the same experience as my first visit (amazing first experience about 2 years ago). We walked in and it was crowded which was fine, but the waitress we had was definitely not having the best day..
It took about 10 minutes for our waitress, who had a bad attitude, to come take our drink orders. After not receiving our drinks for about another 10 minutes, we got her attention and ordered our drinks again along with our meal. As we waited for our food, I noticed almost one person from every party who was sitting down had to approach the waitress because something was wrong with their food order, or they never received their meal.
We finally received our omelettes, and I tasted a bizzare sauce inside. I opened up the omellete and the waitress must have misheard me when I said "Muenster cheese" and put MUSTARD in my omellete instead... It was disgusting.
My second experience here was just awful, and I will not recommend this place anymore.
The welcoming and friendly atmosphere created by the staff and patrons, the delicious food we had and the other unique items on the menu that we could not try this time will encourage us to return!
Amazing place to take your small children and get a good healthy meal for them and something grown up for you! They will also do birthday cakes, cupcakes and cookies!
Good food and great service
Love the food. Love the coffee. Love the kitchy, quirky, completely casual and family friendly environment.
Love the fact that they don't have a sign, so if you don't know they're there - it's your loss!
My only complaint is the staff are sometimes inattentive often overwhelmed. Especially the mulatto-complexion waitress needs to work on both being more attentive to her tables and needs to be much more welcoming to someone who walks in the door. The other waitresses who have been there have been better at this but often seem overwhelmed. You need not let this stop you from enjoying the place though, as it's a great spot..... just don't expect them to keep your glass or coffee full. It will be empty more than 50% of your time spent in the establishment.
One major suggestion that I would give them his to put a few tables outside in front of the place - this would help with overcrowding and reduce the wait times. I would also strongly suggest they go back to having more than just two wait staff with no busperson!
Good food, very family friendly. Service is a little slow, but the kids have a place to play
Kid and family friendly. Home cooked meals.
A hidden gem tucked away on a sleepy street corner in Ossining, N.Y., Wobble Cafe serves delicious fresh-ingredient meals that taste like someone's gramma did the cooking. You can watch the chef/owner dishing up sandwiches and eggs and home fries, and talk to them, too. Wait staff are equally down-to-earth, treating you like just folks. Wobble is super kid-friendly in its menu and its seating... just beware of this if you want a quiet lunch with a friend. It gets noisy! Oh, and seating is a bit limited--but they'll do their best to get you a table and a plate of delicious food before your next tumbly gets too rumbly!

Small mom and pop shop. The food was OK, nothing spectacular. It was priced reasonably and the staff were friendly. They have an area in the back for kids to play. Not something I appreciate in a coffee shop/brunch place, but can see how it can be helpful to some.
Good food, service a bit slow, but friendly... Mug as and egg sandwich, Cinnamon bun latte... DONE!
With true caring about the food they serve, Wobble is a family-owned restaurant that feels like a home. "Family-friendly" doesn't capture enough of it but "family-loving" does. I would recommend something but in truth anything I order is good. The desserts are delicious and in addition to the regular menu of very, very good cooking, you will also find new specialties based on the season and the market. When you have a question or request, including regarding food allergies, you can hear, and be part of, the whole conversation going back and forth between your table and the kitchen. They even have two charming and lovely children of different ages, along with some of their friends, who are usually there and ready to share toys with your own kids! They are open on weekends until late at night and whenever you arrive, on whatever day, and at whatever time, you feel like you're in the right place. Wobble is a hub of the community and the proprietors are in the know. There is a counter with spinning seats, usually a newspaper about, and many books. They have trivial pursuit cards at each table which makes it fun to wait for your cooked-to-order meal. The price always ends up somehow being less than you expected when you ask for the check, which itself only comes when you ask for it. They don't take reservations and for brunch you must arrive early. There is no "diet" food, much of it is substantial and can be rich, but there are also options through salads and fruits to mind your intake. I have only ever left Wobble with a feeling of satisfaction and gratitude.
