I had an amazing 85C encounter when I was in Dallas and was thrilled to find they had one in Houston. I had heard tales of having to wait in line outside but didn't believe them because I didn't have that experience at the dallas one. I was wrong. I went there specifically as a birthday treat and laughed when I saw the line and realized those stories were true. That was okay because I had a dream a week ago about their chocolate chip coffee milk bread pastry and in it...they couldn't fine one anywhere. So as you can see, I was pretty determined to score a few. We finally made it into the blessed AC and I grabbed a tray and immediately looked for my pastry and couldn't find any. I grabbed a few that I knew I would like and then I asked a worker there who was restocking trays and I explained how obsessed I was, she went to the back and brought out newly baked, hot out of the oven pastries. I was so excited and grateful. My friend and I drive from about an hour away specifically for your bakery so I was excited. We made I through the crazy line and everyone was so efficient and helpful. The coffee was amazing and I was so happy (and so was my family) to have scored so many amazing pastries. I'm already planning my next trip. It's unbelievable how long the line can be but it really is worth it and I know that everything is being done to keep it running as smoothly as possible. I hope this means that maybe a few more might open in our area!

Loved the sea salt caramel cake and hazelnut coffee. Did not love the loud, frenetic music. They need calm music 🎶 that provokes serenity in a coffee ☕️ shop. Would've ordered more and hung out but the music drove us out.

Lines are long, but definitely worth the wait! The egg custard tart had a very nice flaky and buttery shell, the raisin milk bun is delightful, and the berry tartlet had a nice cream inside. The mango pudding had just the right amount of consistency! Had other items that I did not taste as they were specifically for my mom and dad.

The food and coffee are amazing BUT the line is usually too long if there is only one cashier AND the wait to get your coffee order is ridiculous! If they made the process more efficient I would give this place more stars because the quality of the baked goods and coffee is great.
