My wife and I went to see a movie here two weeks ago. We bought our tickets at the theatre, but instead of selling tickets downstairs at the ticket counter, we had to buy them upstairs at the concession stand. I mentioned to the employee that this did not make any sense, and she replied it was not her choice and agreed. When we entered the theater to find our assigned seats, we were met with a dirty theater. Popcorn all over the seats, popcorn bags on seats and floor, drinks left on the seats and floor. It was gross. Our seats were not in the filth. When we left, the theater adjacent to ours was being cleaned for the next showing. What?!? This used to be a nice place. Not any more, and we will not be going back.

Weekday show. No crowds. Good movie. What’s not to like.

All the movies worth seeing are played here. The building is beautiful; they have great snacks, including one of those 125 flavor drink machines. You can order alcohol and even some sandwiches. It was bit dirtier this visit than normal: we sat down in assigned seats, which were covered in another person's snack detritus. Popcorn, undrank drink. The bathroom was gross, my toilet wouldn't flush and my sister's stall didn't have a coat hook. Soap dispensers we're all empty and most we're broken. We also endured rude audience members, which doesn't normally happen here. Feet on seats, answering phones and talking. But then there was a really nice family that stood up and stepped onto the stairs to let us get to our seats. It's normally great, though. It's an intellectual haunt, because these are the smart movies for smart people :)

I love the indie films. Not crowded. Not reclining seats, but still comfortable. Good refreshments. Beautiful location with all of the Christmas lights at the Shops at Legacy.

I saw Loving Vincent twice this month. The first time, in Theater 1, the experience was perfect. So, I went back with my daughter for an encore performance. This time it had moved to a different theater farther down the hall. The sound was terrible! It seems like the center front channel speaker was either turned off, blown out, or turned way down. Either that, or the surround sound decoder was screwed up. The dialog was all at whisper level, while the sound effects and music were loud. There were times I couldn't make out what the characters were saying! I tried to report this to them privately via e-mail, but I can't find any place to do that on their website. There's a place to Contact Us, but none of the options allow you to report technical issues. I also tried to report this to the management on the night it happened. It seems only one person was actually working there that night (a Saturday!) and he was nowhere to be found. Hire more people please -- and CHECK the movie after it starts playing to make sure it's actually working!

Love the indi selection, good bar and atmosphere. Lacks the leather recliners and xxl screens of some but for my money its worth every penny for the content you get. Makes for the best dinner/movie experience in town as it is in the shops @ legacy.

A few years ago this was my favorite theater, but as other local theaters have added recliners and food service it hasn't kept pace. But what it lacks in the latest amenities it makes up for with its wonderful indy movie selection. You'll leave some movies wondering what you just saw and others deeply moved and inspired so take a few minutes and research the movies before you go.

Great place - could be cooler inside - quality movies. I hope the Chinese don't buy the Angelika's, but they apparently want all the American theatres.

The food is good quality. The theatres have easy access and great sound. They are on the third floor and have stair and elevator access , either up or down. There is an escalator that usually only goes up.

Theater audio and video great. Popcorn butter did not work and hot dog bun was hard in one end. Food could be better.

Modern, upscale place to watch indie and artsy, Cannes and Sundance festival type films in a hipster friendly environment. Prices are quite expensive, crowd is usually small and mainly adults so viewing experience is always quite good. The movies shown here usually just aren't my cup of tea, so I rarely ever visit. But occasionally, a big budget blockbuster comes along and this is a wonderful place to watch those.

I love how this theater renovated! they have reclining seats now and you purchase your seats before the movie, so your party is guaranteed to sit together! Very comfortable seating. More options on their menu. Love it! Reasonable prices.

Their venues are dated. Most of the competition as gone to the luxury lounge chairs with food and beverage service and reserved seating. I recently visited an Angelica in San Diego. It was new, updated and beautiful. How long do we have to wait in Dallas area for them to update? Their only advantage is they get limited and early release films. Other than that, not much too like. Their downtown venue really is stinky and old. .
