This place is awesome. Super friendly with a welcoming atmosphere. Great coffee and food. Awesome tunes in the background and it is in the perfect location. Keep up the great work.
The service is not only kind and welcoming but also helpful. The food is super tasty and well crafted. It’s a great place to read, work, enjoy company, or grab something to go. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve been here.
Super sweet barista at the coffee bar on Friday night. She offered great suggestions! My sis and I have frequented Ascension for at least two years now, and were a little saddened by menu changes that omitted some o our favorite dishes. It would also be great if French fries were offered as a side!
I tried to love this place--I really did. We used to live very close by to it, so my husband and I visited Ascension a few times. I never quite got what the hype was about. Their coffee was good, but I didn't think it was phenomenal. The staff is very nice and knowlegable, but when they get slammed--especially on weekend mornings--service can be slow.
I was very looking forward to have good meal and coffee after reading the reviews. But, it wasn't as good as I expected. I've had better and was not as expensive as Ascension. The service was good in the beginning. After they brought my food and coffee, they never once checked on me and asked if I like the food or coffee. Disappointing experience. Won't come back. Spend your money elsewhere.
Such a cool place! I've been to Ascension for business meetings, going out with friends or the spouse, or just grabbing a coffee on my own. Every time, my experience has been fantastic!
We were in Dallas, escaping the hurricane and flooding in Houston and after a few days we were exhausted and stressed. Wanted a really good coffee shop experience. Went with my wife, 7 week old son, 8 year old daughter and her friend.
Beautiful place! Great design, spacious and clean. I was shocked at how friendly and efficient staff was. Total professionals. Coffee shops are generally not ideal places for kids but the staff @ Ascension welcomed us and made it a great visit. The moment we walked in they made eye contact, smiled and gave us a table. I like the table service a lot. Incredible coffee, food, service and atmosphere. I can't think of a better coffeeshop experience.
In a city that is a bit lagging in unique coffee shops, this was one of my favorite's upon initial discovery. What I have found over the years however, is that their customer service is below average at best. I cannot tell you the number of times that I have had a rude experience with somebody that works there. I am excited to see Dallas get more coffee shops that I can go and enjoy a good cup of coffee and good customer service as well, both are equally important in my eyes.
The subdued lighting, cozy--even corner--seating, and no-rush atmosphere made this a uniquely wonderful spot for a couple of hour conversation date with my wife. The cappuccino was perfect, as well.
I always have a great coffee or latte here. I'd give 5 stars if parking were better. Be prepared to walk a distance if you visit here. I subtracted 2 stars for lack of parking.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, coffee strong and good. But asked if cinnamon rolls where fresh and told yes at 7:35 am. Tasted like two day old . Stale and stiff even after he warned it up, not happy about the lie and when you use your card they push you for a tip. I guess people come for the beer and wine. If you want Starbucks type coffee with over price this is your place. Would not recommend for coffee or rolls. I looked at menu and food seemed extremely over priced. Will not rerurn !!!!!
I tried lavender coffee here for the first time and it was beautiful. It was incredibly overpriced ($8?!) but it was worth it for the experience while we were traveling.
