We moved to the Spring area about 2 years ago from Singapore. My husband and I are both avid world travelers and coffee lovers, sampling good coffee every place we visit. After trying out all the surrounding coffee shops in this area, we have been very disappointed. Then we visit Barbarossa Coffee after seeing a recommendation on a local foodie Facebook page. The coffee is amazing! We tried the mocha and found it to be lovely - not too sweet, beautifully created and a wonderful balance between chocolate and coffee without the sickeningly sweet aftertaste. The service at Barbarossa is phenomenal as well. A wonderful local business with reasonably priced coffee that tastes amazing!

Usually I always get my coffee from Starbucks. However, after going to Barbarossa today and getting a white chocolate mocha. It was the best 12oz of coffee of my life. At Starbucks I always have to get a triple shot for it to hit the spot. But this 12oz cup made that happen with only two shots. I will no longer go to Starbucks. Can't wait to come to here more often to do my college work. Keep up the good work.

Today was my first experience with Barbarossa, and I'm so impressed with the quality and taste of their coffee. The owner and barista were both knowledgeable and extremely friendly. This is the kind of coffee shop I would expect to see in the Heights or Montrose district! Super happy to have such a high quality coffee shop right in my backyard.

This place is awesome! The customer service is fantastic! I am a huge Starbucks fan but this coffee tastes 100% better and has really pretty designs. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and the music is relaxing. The food tastes amazing. I am really impressed. Seriously check out this business! You won't regret it! They care about their customers and their coffee. The tea there also smells and looks really good :)

This is the best coffe around, they make coffee like it is an art. Also the food is great, I especially love the breakfast tacos. The atmosphere is great too, the music is soft and the wifi is strong. This is my new favorite place!

This is hands down the best coffee I have ever had. The milk and honey latte is absolutely divine; I have to consciously hold back and not chug it. I’d never had Chemex coffee before Barbarossa and now I LOVE IT! My favorite is the organic Mexican in the Chemex. When it’s hot, I love the iced lavender latte; it’s light and refreshing. The owners and staff are always kind and add the personal touch of asking about my kids, which makes this local gem unbeatable.

When you choose to sit down, your coffee is in a cup instead of a take away cup.

The music is not to loud and a good genre. Just some small things, that add to the experience;-)

Rode our bicycles up bc it is conveniently located in the neighborhood. We are very experienced coffee drinkers, and it is great to have a coffee shop who can cater to our tastes. Coffee was on point. Tiramisu was also on point. All around great experience.

My husband and I like to try new coffee places in our area, and came across this gem. I love the way they let you choose from the brewing method and bean of choice, plus they have amazing Turkish coffee! We were very impressed, and will be visiting again very, very soon! Cannot wait to try all the different coffee selections!

It's hard to find Turkish coffee at a local coffee shop...or any coffee shop in Texas for that matter and there's is very good. These guys are delightful and attentitive and the coffee is absolutely amazing!! I'm sooooo glad they are so close!

It was such a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this coffee and tea shop! Jane and Natalie were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I was impressed by their tea selection and green tea drinkers can rejoice, their matcha isn’t sweet and is prepared traditionally! Best green tea latte I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking! Will definitely be back �

I don't normally do free endorsements on Facebook, but this place is awesome. If you're in the Louetta / 249 area, I'd choose this place over Starbucks in a second. Cool and clean environment, lots of gourmet coffee selections, choice of brewing method, etc. Check it out!

I adore this coffee shop. They have one of the best (if not the best) cappuccinos I've ever had and today I tried the Chemex brewing method on their Peru beans... amazing. The owner is so nice and even explained the process to me and how it works, which was great. The ambiance is relaxing. Music is amazing. Plenty of outlets and comfy seating, as well as tons of parking available. I love coming here. I personally haven't tried any food yet, but it all looks delicious. I would highly recommend this coffee shop to everyone!

I LOVE Barbarossa! I go out of my way just for their coffee. There are quite a few coffee shops, but this one is special due to its authenticity in taste. I usually get a cold brew and add cream and sugar, but lucky for me I forgot to ask and got it black. I dared to try it and it had such an amazing flavor that I couldn't ruin it by adding anything. After I checked out, one employee discussed some of their bagged coffees, and I ended up buying one to share at home. They showed me one of their brewing techniques and I was so intrigued and excited to come back to try something new. If you're a Starbucks lover...I'm sorry. If you want to try REAL coffee and support a local business, TRY Barbarossa!

Had an awesome experience with the siphon brewing method. They have like 5 to choose from. The food is on point and desserts go great with the coffee. Better than Starbucks. It's a place to sit and enjoy your coffee.

Great little coffee cafe that is comfortable and has a good selection of fresh roasted coffees. One of the only places I know of around here that offers different brew methods like Chemex, Aeropress, and others. Their espresso is top notch also. One of my favorites has to be the Costa Rica Sonora coffee; highly recommend that one.

I didn't expect their coffee to be this good and I'm so glad it is. They use beans that Starbucks deems too costly to use, water that's specially filtered to deliver a quality that you can notice with the first sip.



The have several different methods of making your cup. Whether you favor the pour-over method from Monmouth coffee in London or the Siphon method that's used by Blue Bottle in San Francisco, this place has it all.



So stop by, have a cup and take a time out. This cafe brings back what makes coffee houses special again.
