We had a random Monday lunch here and ordered a meat board and mozzarella salad to share between the two of us, and it was so delicious and the perfect amount of food. We sat in the back patio area and it was so cute and quaint.

Very cozy bistro located near downtown Austin. The staff are extremely friendly and patient here, the food is very delicious, and you have indoor/outdoor seating options with decent views. A trip here is highly recommended by this guide!

This is our ultimate comfort food. Though they may stumble, they never fall. Sit outside whenever possible. The staff may seem busy, but they always actually care.

This place was great! The Frittatas are amazing, their waffles looked really good too (which I'll try next time) The only reason I'm deducting a star is because our waiter wouldn't let us order mimosas until we ordered food.... I didn't know this was a restaurant and day-care!

Service was slow it took 1 he 15 min for us to get a table vs the 45 they first told us. After that, they took ages getting our food and drink out. Honestly I would forgive this all, if the food was worth it.... But it wasn't. It was all simply expensive ingredients assembled with no technique. In 'chopped' terminology, the ingredients weren't 'transformed' enough. Even a relatively cheap dish like crepes was sad... They gave tough tiny, crepes that were anything but delicate.

Some would say this is like modern art, you could have thought of it, but you didn't. But I'm free to borrow the menu and copy at home.

Their salads are some of the best in town. I loved my experience here. The service was equally as good.

I had a racist waiter who did not acknowledge my party after serving us our food. He never refilled our drinks or checked on us. He purposely walked by our table multiple times with a smile on his face to serve the parties directly next to us and behind us.The menu is small and the food isn't great. Cool concept, but my experience ruined it for me

Always freah, tasty food even after 7 years or so. Small, but tried and true menu that is quality and enough quantity. Can't go wrong with the open French sandwich platters or the great muscles in red sauce. French-inspired but casual food. Breakfast/brunch is good also.
Reasonably priced for this level of food.

Super clean. Fresh food. Excellent menu. Beautiful food and plates. Conscientious staff. Reasonable prices. Great bread. Love it. Go there.

Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere. After living in Europe the last 10 years and moving back to th Austin area, this is definitely comparable to many of the places I went to in France, Germany, Austria and other countries. Definitely would recommend it if you are willing to spend a bit more but for great quality.

My wife and I love Blue Dahlia. Great food -- across the menu -- and friendly service in a relaxed environment. We visit Austin 3-4 times a year and make it a point to visit Blue Dahlia at least once on each visit.
Thank you!

I found the food and presentation to be quite excellent. The prices for the majority of items was very reasonable. The vegetarian selection was good and the highlight of my family's meal was the apricot and Brie cheese open faced sandwich. I also really enjoyed the coffee with a shot of lavender flavoring in it; it was a very unique and delicious combination.

The service was okay. I called ahead as we were going to be coming in during lunch and the person I spoke with on the phone seemed like they were trying to hurry me off the line. When we got to the restaurant the service was a little slow and I had to ask about one of our plates, which they had forgotten.

Overall, I would come back for the food, but probably during a less busy time of day.

Can't believe yesterday was the first time I've been to Blue Dahlia Bistro since I've moved to Austin. I got the Parisian Sandwich with the full cream cheese and it was literally to die for! So delicious. The coffee was also fantastic and our server was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for dates, or to just chill out and do some work on your laptop.

Food is excellent here. Very light, clean fair and always the right balance of flavors.

Lost a star because their servers give the vibe of "Why are you bothering me by asking me to serve you?" Maybe it's to give the more authentic French vibe, but it's a bit unusual.

Food is awesome, but service is a little lacking at times.
