What an adorable place! Stopped by with a couple of friends and everything was great. The food was excellent and really delicious, and the service on point. The owner was very nice and suggested different items for us. The atmosphere is awesome and they had the cutest guy playing the accordion which was a very nice touch. We will definitely be back.

We have lost Cafe Brussels for years. Its sincere, old-world European charm is surpassed only by its wonderful food. When the second Montrose location on Westheimer closed, we thought it was gone. After a few missed years, we found it had only been relocated to its current home, which is by far, its best incarnation to date. We drove in circles following Google maps, and walked in right at 2, when the owner's son told us they were just closing. A minute of sweet talk earned us a long-missed, late lunch. I haven't seen him since he was a boy, but his mom's Asiatic eyes gave him away. I am so glad to have rediscovered our old favorite haunt, and look forward to many wonderful meals to come.

We arrived right after a French classic of about 30 students. Owner was only wait staff and she still got us all served in a timely manner. Just discovered this charming place - will be back!

This was a very quaint refreshing place to meet old friends and enjoy an interesting venue and great food! The brunch selections did not disappoint! Just when I thought I could not eat more they brought out my final selection that waffle with whipped cream I did not think I could eat it and I Did!!! Yummy!!!!

The food, drinks, service, and company were all amazing. Can not wait to go back for brunch!

The food was excellent, both my husband's Flemish stew and my puff pastry with chicken! Great beer selection and great service. Reminded us both of our travels in Europe, so authentic! Highly recommend.

So good! The food is fabulous, the desserts are AMAZING, Belgian beer selection is wonderful. Definitely made me want to visit Begium again - it's the next best thing to being there. Our waiter seemed to be having an off night, but that was a mild glitch in the evening. We enjoyed our visit, as always, and will be back!

My wife and I have been eating at Cafe Brussels for quite a while, even before it was at this location. Everything we have ever tried has always been delicious well-prepared. The steaks are some of the best in Houston. And when it comes to service they always go that extra mile to make sure you're well taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant

Me and some friends went there about a week ago, been wanting to check this place out for a while since I heard so many great things about it. I can say I wasn't disappointed this place is amazing, the food is delicious, the music and the gentleman that plays the accordion is so lovely, Catherine and the entire staff were absolutely amazing. Me and my friends had an amazing time and will definitely will return.

Kathy & I renewed our Belgian New Year's Eve dining experience last night at Cafe Brussels, which thanks to owner Catherine Duwez, her handsome young son, Adrian, and her attentive wait staff, remains the very best Belgian restaurant in Houston, bar none. My leg of lapin covered in a very tasty brown sauce of carrot, onion, prune and raisin, with a side of red cabbage, was the equal to the Belgian rabbit family recipes I enjoyed growing up in the Illinois Quad-Cities, and Kathy's flavorful 3 inch thick prime steak, frites and deliciously thin haricot vertes were superb. With escargot as starters, and dark chocolate covered profiteroles to finish, and the French singing male duet providing live background music (accompanied by Catherine as well), truly made our evening feel like our honeymoon in Belgium over 45 years ago! Thank you, Catherine, for a most memorable New Year's evening dining experience !!!

I’ve been driving by for an entire year, dying for a reason to pop in. Tonight was the night. It was everything I expected a more. It was sleepy at around 7 pm, but traffic started to pour in after us. I asked for a recommendation, and our waiter said the mussels were what they were known for. That was all I needed to know. They brought out the mussels in a pot, and it was a show-stopper. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Super fresh, they tasted like the sea. The Belgian frites with mayo were divine. We’ll be back. What a gem!

It is the real deal. The meal was awesome, the food is prepared by pros. I had the pork shank special, was 5 star quality for hamburger prices. Service is friendly and impeccable without being a bother. The dozen Belgian beer on tap is the cherry on top.

I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, great intimate setting for a date night or to catch up with a friend. Staff was very nice and attentive, and most importantly everything I tried was amazing, that includes the lobster bisque, garlic butter shrimp, le cordon bleu, bouche de poisson, and the crepe suzzette. I also loved the latte.

Great food and great atmosphere. The Belgian Burger is the best burger I have had. Evan had the Croque Madame which was also Delicious. Finished with the Creme' Brule nice crack on the top and luxurious creamy texture. Can't wait to go back.

Fabulous food, all fresh, made from scratch. So it takes a bit until you get your order. Attentive and friendly service. The perfect place to have time to enjoy the food and conversations without being rushed. Very much like back in Europe plus the authentic food.

Cafe Brussels does not disappoint. It's a small, intimate spot with amazing food. The service was prompt, very eager to please, and fast. The price point is great for the quality of food they serve. This is sure to be one of my new go-to spots.

Quite fun. Good food. Escargot were delightful, traditional moules/frites were great. Beer selection was small but well curated and all with perfect glassware. Very family owned vibe, I could see how the service gets mixed reviews, thumbs up from me, but its not going to please those who desire slick presentation. I found the more homey vibe a bit authentic and fun. I only remove a star for price - which I found to be a touch high. Probably 10-20% above where I thought it should be. Expect ~$50/head with a couple drinks. Thumbs up. Worth trying out!

Terrible service on my 2nd visit. I met some friends for drinks at the neighboring restaurant and they had a very disappointing experience there. So, I sold them on Cafe Brussels by telling them how great the 1st time I went with another friend was. I raved about how delicious food was and how good the service was as well. However, the service this time was a complete dud. We literally watched every table in the building receive their food beside us. We had ordered the same items as everyone else and nothing ever showed up. We only received our 1st course and nothing else. We watched the staff stand around and look at us from the bar while they chit chatted with one another they never checked in with us. We didn't even receive straws with our drinks, even though they had a container over stuffed with straws. I cannot believe that an establishment would let their guests sit there and go hungry. Especially since they were taking great care of every other table but ours. I have no idea why we were neglected. This was not a race issue. Ours was a table of more than one race, so was that's not the issue. It was just simply bad service. Truly disappointed. 0/10 would recommend.
