World class service! I’m comparing to any big brand high priced establishment!
Give it a go!
We had sandwiches and they were delicious ! I usually don't eat French fries, but these were some of the best I've ever had. Great little quaint French restaurant. We will go back !
Very very good, enjoy the food and the decor
Very nice ambiance. Good food. Location is good as well.
Tres formidable!!! Enjoyed every bite of bib salad and soup. Extensive wine list as expected!
The place I go in Houston for food and atmosphere! Love it! Always good and consistent!
The food is always excellent. We love the atmosphere just as much.
The escargot and the foie gras were delightful and the chocolate mousse was decadent! The service was spot on too. I would highly recommend this charming restaurant especially for a date night.
My favorite place in Houston. Mussels are to die for. Pomme Frites and best coffee in town! Been a patron since 2000. Oh and the most amazing chocolate silk pie with nut crust. Don't let them muck it up with raspberry sauce.
Loved it! Started out with AMAZING hot bread. Service was excellent and I loved the chicken artichoke soup. Quiche was yummy. My only complaint is that when you come in, the table is set with quaint mismatched China plates; but no sooner do you sit down than they whisk them away, never to be seen again. Food was served on stark white dishes. We'll definitely be back. So many dishes to try!
Had the croque madame...delish! Can't wait to go back.
Great food and great friendly service! It has a nice flair of a French bistro!
The creme brûlée was incredible!
Everything was amazing the Seared salmon , the Rainbow trout , the Mussels and Fries are to die for. I can’t wait for my next visit.
Can I give 10 stars!?
Holy mother of....Michelin Star, where are you on this one?? First of all, with the Houston Foodie scene blowing up like it has, I am astonished that Michelin is absent from our melting-pot of a city. But if they were here, I would definitely support and even riot in the streets to get this place a Michelin Star! For me to dine somewhere, and love every single thing, and love every single morsel of food I consume, this is rare, and I am ready to shout from the rooftops with praise for this delicious little gem located in the oh so cute, Rice Village.
Tips: Get there early, be prepared to wait patiently, because it IS worth it! They don't take reservations. It's a small (romantic) place. The menu is written on a chalk board and located on the wall. They have a small patio outside for diners. They have a HUGE wine selection, I mean the menu's thickness is equivalent to that of an Encyclopedia Britannica (anyone remember those?)
The FOOD: (aka, the real reason to come here!)
- The Escargot: It takes 25 min to prepare (says so on the menu), so order it early. We were allowed to order it from the bar while waiting on our table, perfect timing! These were utterly amazing, perfectly baked in buttery, garlicky love. Luckily, we had the complimentary bread to help us soak up all of the liquid love that was left in the the little holes in the plate. Rating: 5++
- The complimentary bread: A very well done yeast bread, with a thin and crispy crust and a perfect soft and doughy inside. Served with butter. Rating: 4
- The Cheese Plate: We ordered the small. A wonderful assortment of 3 cheeses picked by the Chef, served with a real honey comb and a pecan nut mixture. Petite Basque, Tomme De Savoie, Morbier. AMAZING! Rating: 5++
- Foie Gras: Good God!! This duck liver was so well done, so fatty, so juicy, so melt-in-your-mouth good! I couldn't believe it. It's served with a buttery toasted brioche bread which is topped with an onion compote and toasted pear slices. Rating: 5+++
- Braised Short Rib: Served over mashed potatoes and swimming in a delicious gravy. Very tender with good notes of wine. I wished there was more of that gravy though! Rating: 5
Overall: For an absolutely mouth-watering delicious and amazing meal, this restaurant pulls it off without a hitch. Top notch service, top notch food, adorable atmosphere and ambiance, and reasonable prices! We ordered 4 glasses of wine, one beer, and all of the dishes listed above, and our bill was only $115! We tipped graciously and left feeling "in love". Oh, we shall be back....

Best Foie Gras. serve excellent food, and are also noteworthy for their attractive interiors and romantic ambiance. Highly commended wine list.
A very nice place, with an excellent wine list!
Food and service were excellent. I had the Provençal sandwich and it was amazing! The only reason I did not give 4 stars is that it was very loud- hard to have conversations
Excellent Brasserie - Very good ambiance, food and service,
Decent French fare food. Foie gras was exceptional. Crab artichoke salad wasn’t worth mentioning. Sandwiches were decent
