Classic southern comfort food and delicious desserts. We've had almost everything on the menu, but our favorites are the Philly cheese steak, pork chops, and chicken fried steak/chicken. All the desserts are excellent, but the best is the Apple-achian Bar. It's an apple dessert not quite like anything you've ever tried before, served with vanilla ice cream and topped with crumbled bacon.
There is a covered patio for outdoor seating, a playground for the kids, and on the weekend they have live music with a dance floor and a walk up bar. The only downside is that you can expect to wait 1.5 hrs for a table on a busy night. It's always worth it though!

Great family restaurant with a home cooking style. We visit this establishment at least a few times a month. The food and the service are always very good.

The outdoor deck and patio area is our favorite. There are large trees and swings for the kids.
Their desserts are amazing!

Four of us had lunch at this cafe. The food was excellent. I had a delicious chicken fried steak. My husband enjoyed his Philly Cheese Steak with restaurant made kettle fried potato chips. My sister-in-law and her husband both had fried chicken livers which they proclamed delicious. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable.

Very cool hidden gem a block off hwy 29 in Liberty Hill. Fantastic food ( the chicken fried steak with jalapeno cream gravy is one of the best things I have ever eaten) and friendly service. Can be VERY busy on the weekends, especially on a nice day. Lots of shaded outdoor seating and a big open area/playscape for kids to run around in.

A central Texas gem. Located in Liberty Hill, this place offers all the Texas favorites: chicken fried steak, cheeseburger, steak, cobbler, etc. Enjoy live music on the weekends outside on the patio. Kids can burn off some energy at the playground. Show up before dinner time and avoid the wait. The portions are HUGE so sharing is ideal. Our family loves this place for special occasions.

GREAT FOOD, Beautiful (unique) atmosphere, Live Music and a playground for the kids. A Great place to spend an entire evening. And all reasonably priced.

Good home cooking in a rustic setting. Live country music and cool and comfortable outdoor dinning. Friendly helpful waitresses. Our party of thirteen were well fed. Try the meatloaf. Chicken fried steak and chicken were good.

Dahlia's is always good food in a comfortable setting. The weather was cooperative and we sat on the porch. Service was excellent. But i admit i was somewhat disappointed because the server appearance was more likely to be found in Austin than a nice, comfy LH spot. But again, he was excellent at his job.

A rustic dining experience in the enclosed porch or under the trees or down-home country in the in-door dining area will all lead to generous portions of food whether burgers, meat loaf or home-made chili but don't eat it all; save room for the deserts. That's the real reason we keep going back. I don't even like bread pudding but Dahlia's is the exception. There is a play area outside for the kids and music on the weekends. Our service has always been exemplary but so far we have managed to avoid times when they are crowded. Moderately priced and kid friendly.

Wonderful food. Friendly staff. I drive up from Austin at least once a month for they're burgers and pie. 6/5 stars for sure 😋

My kids love coming here! Tortillas soup and the southwest salad are two of my faves here. Some of the reviews who gave less stars, I think, expect fine dining food(which would be awesome)...but this place is like having your grandma cook for you... just easy eating comfort food... enjoy!!
