I’ve been to east side cafe twice now and have enjoyed both experiences! The first time, I️ had their light and tasty grilled chicken salad. The second time, I️ enjoyed brunch by ordering the Huevos Mexicanos and topped it off with this delicious chocolate almond torte! The space is very clean and food presentation is nice. It’s a good spot for a well-priced good meal.

We have been going to East Side Cafe for many years for brunch and it had been wonderful. Yesterday's brunch was extremely disappointing. Apple almond waffles were cold, server forgot the sauteed apples until later, cheese grits not edible, and definitely don't know how to make good Migas! To add insult to injury they charged our cc twice. Now have to make a call to straighten that out. We are not going back. period.

Good basic food in a welcoming cafe space, once a house, divided into multiple dining rooms. Service was pleasant and efficient. Meatloaf was moist with a pleasant taste and texture. Fresh, fried okra were superb.

I came here for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. I ordered the special of the day, Eggs Benedict (crab & shrimp were used instead of the standard English Muffin). It was delicious!!!

If you go there for brunch, I recommend making a reservation or doing early because this place is very popular.

Great food, friendly service. This was fantastic for brunch with my two toddlers. The waitstaff was very accommodating and they loved the french toast. The homey atmosphere is perfect for a family or catching up with old friends.

The absolute best brunch ever. If you can try the smoked salmon ravioli and a bellini. Both are perfection and I would definitely recommend this place if you want to treat yourself.

I don't get around here as much as I should. It's super cute and tasty. It's as genuine as a restaurant can get and everyone who comes to Austin to visit or live should at least visit once. Unlike most places that have some theme or trend this is just good food in a cute place.

Service is super great and the food is awesome! Had the special of beef tenderloin with the chimichurri sauce and it was fabulous! Also had a taste of the Ruby trout and pork tenderloin which were also fantastic! For dessert, had the chocolate silk pie and was so delicious! Will definitely come back in the future because I am not from here!

Love this cafe. Everything is yummy. I thought I found a new quant little restaurant a year ago. Who knew it's been around for 30 years?

The food was very good. The herbs and vegetables are grown on site. Adjacent is a structure you can get lighter fare, hot and cold drinks or utilize as a place to wait for seating inside the quaint restaurant. While you wait there is plenty of outdoor seating in a park like setting. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. The menu small, but varied. Food was served piping hot in short order. Serving sizes were generous. In my opinion one visit isn't enough.

I have eaten at Eastside many times over many years and until the last 2 visits it was my favorite restaurant in Austin. In July, I ordered pork tenderloin and it was charred and unchewable. They quickly brought me another which was delicious. Last month, I came in and ordered the same. It was not charred but it was so tough and dry that I left most of it. The waitress was wonderful but I won't be back

I had the grilled chicken Greek salad with feta dressing. It was delicious. I forgot how yummy the corn muffins were. And we split a carrot cake which was divine. A great place for lunch. It was about $40 for two entrees, tea and one dessert.
