Wow! Amazing place! Is a must!
Just moved to Texas and this was my first thing on my bucket list! If your a fan of the movie this place is a MUST go!
Friendly people! And great Customer Service which it matters when u visit a small town.
Very welcoming and so informative.
With all exaggerations aside, for it being the original TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE house I feel that a little more tribute should be added, It will be highly appreciated. I mean it changed the Horror and Film Industry after years of appreciation of course and redefined a genre as well as influenced film maker's and artist's world wide. It's a great piece of US history In many formes, keep your imagination alive and kicking but with that said it's a beautiful house & restaurant with some of the best Southern Style Fine Dinning in Texas we have ever had. From the front door to the bar... it's warm, homie and a delight to eat and drink in. The NY Strip Breakfeast w/ Potatoes, Coffee & Water was a Damn Good Steak and Eggs, Highly Recommended*. A beautiful bar, it has a great feel also, try the Leatherface Lemonade it was very refreshing. Overall it was a great experience... nice staff, and good tasteing food. Don't forget to pick up your Leatherface "Don't Mess With Texas" Tee Shirt and Beer Koozie on the way out. We'll be seeing y'all again. Two Thumbs Up!!
We sat in the bar area and it was a relaxing atmosphere and the bar staff was super nice. They treated you like you were regulars. Then we we were seated in the same area (bar area) to eat, the waitress, Sabrina was super sweet and did not lead us wrong from appetizer to main dish. We will be back. We have a lake house and always looking to relax and have a drink soooo we will back soon.
This was an awesome experience and totally worth the hour and a half drive. Our waiter Tony was awesome and very friendly. The burger I ate was one of THE BEST burgers I have had. I look forward to going back soon!!!
They actually make their own chicken fried steaks. The food is great and drinks were amazing. The place (house) is really cool. I loved every minute.
The rib eyes were excellent and so was breakfast the next day. Great spot for a r&r kind of weekend. Menu was very reasonable and quality of the food was beyond. And the staff was friendly and welcoming. Thanks!
My family and I ate brunch there. Food was great and service was exceptional! Would definitely recommend this place to all.
I was there September 21-22 and loved the place! Excellent food for both dinner and breakfast, very down to earth waitstaff, and beautifully done restoration of this iconic old farmhouse. I could not have asked for more. My favorite person here was Jen who was the sweetest lady ever And for some cocktails, beers, and great vibes be sure to stop by the Club Car bar next door and see Sandy and Brad.
I love this place. Food was great as well as every employee we encountered. It is at really neat old house from Texas Chainsaw movie!
I have been wanting to come here for years because the movie Texas chainsaw massacre was filmed in this house. We drove from Houston a four hour drive. It was worth it the food was delicious the atmosphere of the place was wonderful out waitress was super nice. However on the bar and the bed and breakfast people at the Antlers Inn were rude and snobbish.
Heard about this restaurant in a house where a horror movie was made and knew we had to go check it out. The staff was excellent and the food was good. Fried shrimp a little too spicy. Chicken fried steak was tender. In the bar are pictures from the movie. Will go back again when we are wanting a five star experience with linen tablecloths.
Great eggs Benedict and the best sourdough bread I have had for a very long time. Definitely will go again and try lunch and dinner.
Friendly and attentive staff. Our waiter was very insightful and very accomadating. The breakfast burger was the thickest, most tasteful burger ive ever had! We took pictures around the house. Very nice experience! Will be coming back again!
Fantastic food and incredible ambiance!!! The breakfast burger was an amazing protein packed burger that makes my mouth water just thinking about it!!! Large menu with lots of tempting choices! Will be back soon!!
Ate during the day shift so didnt get a chance to try steak, etc. But biscuits n gravy were awesome. Very large serving. And the gravy was really thick. Like Grandma used to make where you can eat it with a fork. Wonderful. And waiter Tony wowed me. Great service with a smile. Very personable. Whatever they pay him he well deserves it. Hes definitely an asset.
Great service! My chicken fried steak fingers were over fried to a burnt crisp. Waitress knew it and comped the meal since I didn’t eat it. The meal was a bust but kudos to great wait staff. We will try again.
Food and service was fantastic. The homemade bread was outstanding and I asked for seconds. Very charming place. Enjoyed exploring the upstairs bar with the Chainsaw Massacre movie pics. Next time we will try out the new bar that they added on as it looked very nice. My husband thought that the beer selections could use some improvement but that the wine selection was good.
Read an article on how great it was but was disappointed. Rather than go with the usual burger, club, chicken salad or Ruben sandwich, went for the Philly Cheese Steak. Have had them in Philly at one of the most will known purveyors of the local sandwich and must say this one was an insult. Other than meat, cheese & bread, that's about all that was in common with the real thing. Wife had soup of the day and an appetizer and was also disappointed.
It took almost an hour to get my hamburger.
The server's excuse was "sorry we are busy"
Really, imagine that, a restaurant with people in it, at lunch time.
