Very poor experience of this place. The owner is a thief and used our services for several months, at a pre-agreed rate, before refusing to pay for our time. He even stole the equipment we provided. Diners should know he doesn't pay small independent suppliers; other suppliers should watch out! We have already lost $1,800 for services rendered. We can provide evidence of work undertaken, dates onsite and correspondence with Il Forte management. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Too bad to comment. I feel insulted to pay to be there.
Food took forever in an empty restaurant on a Saturday evening. Served burned Chicken Parmesan and left it on the bill. Definitely pass.
Not a great experience. Food took a loooooong time to arrive. Like 20 minutes from getting water to ordering food. Oddly, only one other table in the place was seated, so no idea why it took so long. One of our guests didn't receive the salad they ordered at all and both chicken parmesan orders were burned and we were still charged for them. We tipped the waiter anyway, because it seemed like it was more on the kitchen. Not a great experience.
This places has the best Italian food in Austin. The staff and service are excellent. The owner comes out and asks about the food and genuinely cares if you like it which speaks to the quality. The menu is short and sweet which is a relief compared to the books you have to read at some places. Awesome food! Wonderful place!
Hidden Italian spot, great for lunch downtown. The spaghetti carbonara and eggplant parmigiano were both delicious!
Caesar is a fabulous host! Great food & drinks! They also now have valet parking!
I went in before the dinner rush and was greeted kindly by the owner. The food was amazing, and priced accordingly. I had the mushroom ravioli in a red sauce that was to die for. The decor was beautiful, with genuine marble from Italy. I highly recommend giving Il Forte a try!
Cozy restaurant with excellent food. Service was very attentive and owner was very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit!
The coffee at Il Forte (Permanently Closed) was a revelation! I couldn't get enough of their specialty brews, and the charming, rustic vibe at the 800 Brazos #215 Entrance on 8th st. between brazos & congress, Austin, TX 78701, USA location added to the overall experience. I'll certainly be returning for more.
