We love hosting the annual North American Butterfly Association lunch! These Butterfly enthusiasts spend a day out in the Texas Hill Country chasing, counting and photographing the different species of butterflies in our area! Yep! That’s a thing! How cool is that?!? This happens once a year...all over the country! They start it in early June here since it gets hot so fast! Other parts of the country they call it the 4th of July count. If you are interested in chasing butterf...lies and helping these lovely enthusiasts contact your local NABA leader! Thank you to our local Nature Conservancy leader for helping organize this and choosing us as your gathering grounds! This is just too cool! 🦋❤️ #butterflyenthusiast #butterflychasers #NABA #NorthAmericanButterflyAssociation #TheAppleStore #TexasHillCountry #MedinaTx #NatureConservancyinTexas #Naturelover #Naturenerd #getoutdoors #Lovecreekorchardsandtheapplestore #Lovecreekcount

This is one of my favorite places in Texas. I always stop here enroute to Lost Maples State Park. I make sure my timing is such, so I arrive around lunch time. Fabulous food, great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Great stop and their indoor gift shop and bakery is fun as well. Apple pies, streusel and fritters are all to die for.
The apple strudel was amazing and so was the chicken salad sandwich and chicken quesadillas! I really want to try one of those sweet tree ripened apples, but they weren’t yet ready the first week of July.
Stopped to have some lunch and I had the club sandwich. It was delicious! Also had some of the apple ice cream and that was delicious as well. The cookie selection was amazing and they were huge! (got a chocolate chip cookie for the road )
My wife and I are visiting from Pearland, Texas. We have both been here before and love the apple ice cream! We each got some apple ice cream as well as lunch from the cafe. As a vegetarian, I will tell you that they made one of the best veggie burgers I have ever eaten! Glad they are so accommodating for vegetarians. Next time you stop by get the Beyond Burger and some homemade treats made with love!
I love this quiant store. It is so comforting and the strudel and turnovers are to die for, add the ice cream and I am in heaven. I have been coming to this place for 10 years and they never disappoint.
Hands down, the best burger money can buy and it tastes damn good, too. This place is not to be missed. If you make it for blackberry picking season (early June, I think), that doesn't suck either. I love this place.
We drove more than an hour to get to the orchard. It was a nice drive. The area is very nice. We get to the orchard and pumpkin patch and saw that there were a lot of activities for the kids. I was a little disappointed though because there was really no pumpkin patch, just piles of pumpkins. I've been to patches where we are literally cutting pumpkins of the vines. So, that kinda fell short. For the orchard, we were expecting to be able to either pick apples from the trees or see lines of bushels filled with apples for us to choose from. We also didn't habe any children with us, so we found the experience to be lacking. We then went to the apple store that's just down the street. Google says it was a bakery, so we were expecting coolers and bakery displays. There was one cabinet in the corner filled with baked goods. The rest of the store was filled with gift store items. There is a patio in the back that sells food. The food was delicious. We do recommend the burgers and onion rings. That was the highlight of the trip. We did buy a few sweets from the corner cabinet to take home. Unfortunately, those treats fell short too.
We were there yesterday. I walked in and the lady at the front said are you here to eat or shop? I said eat and we have never been here so she said go back and to the wooden cabinet. That was it. We walked to the cabinet and I kept asking is this it? There were people on the other side of the half door in the kitchen and they looked at me then turned around and ignored me. We walked out in the back and even went to the order area and I again asked do we order here or what. They looked at me and went back to cooking. We walked back in to the cabinet and saw people with ice cream and I asked where is that. We looked around and found it in the corner but didn't know if we were supposed to just go fix our own, pay for it first, or what. We started walking out and I told my boyfriend I had really been looking forward to eating here but guess they could care less since it was too much trouble for anyone to offer any sort of customer service.
Food was good I will admit but I purchased an apple pie and was really disappointed they are a little pricey and my pie was a lil burned the filling was really dry and had apples clumped together and a kinda weird taste. May visit again but probably never buy a pie again. I'll just stick to the food I guess.
