We are visiting the area. My husband was there for lunch one day. He asked if they had clam chowder. I am a chowder snob. The owner said they don't have it all the time but would make it Thursday. She mentioned she was from the Cape. Thursday we picked up 2 clam chowders to go. I have to admit for PA being a land locked state the Chowda was very good. Thick but not to thick and full of clams and potatoes. Next time we are in the area we will call to see when they have it. If you Love chowder make sure you call to see when it is on their menu. For a tiny Western PA town Freeport has the best chowder and is worth the trip.

Today I had a wonderful chef salad. The salads at Riverside Cafe are like none other in the ingredients. My favorite selection are the paninis. A nice variety to pick from. I also love the breakfast sandwiches. Always great specials! A truly great relaxing place to dine!

Their food is delicious! The turkey, cranberry, stuffing sandwich is my favorite I get it everytime we order.

The ham and cheddar quiche is so good. A good crust with a rich filling. The portion was big enough that I couldn't eat my dessert (in which my son completely appreciated! ) I will be back. Very friendly service.

The Thai Chicken Salad is delicious and the Blueberry Scones were moist and flavorful. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. Quiche will be my next adventure. �

Our favorite place to eat! The food is the best and there's a very good selection to choose from.

Whenever we have friends or relatives coming in from out of town, this is THE PLACE we take them, and no one has ever been disappointed!

Lucy's Riverside Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch after church on Sunday. It is nice to see that Freeport has a few more places to eat now! The french toast and pancakes are amazing!

Lucy's Riverside Cafe catered breakfast on my sister's wedding day. She brought our food to our hair salon while we were having our hair done. It was perfect! We had eggs, bacon, sausage, cheesy potatoes-everyone's favorite!!, plus home made scones and cinnamon rolls. Everyone loved it all! Thank you for making her morning Perfect!

If you want a good meal this is the place! All the food is made in the Cafe. Soups from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Quiches of all kinds with the best crust. Panini's, Clubs, Signature salads with fresh produce and yummy dressings. Desserts of all kinds and now Sweet Treat cupcakes coming in every Thursday through Sunday. You won't be disappointed! I messaged the cafe indicating that a group of friends were going for breakfast the next morning. She put chocolate chip scones in the oven for us! The scones are delicious. The homemade cinnamon rolls are large and scrumptious. I had the french toast today and loved it. The service is excellent, the place is very clean and nicely decorated. Definitely take the time to come to this delightful small neighborhood cafe. You will not regret it. �

Had the veggie egg white omelette with shredded home fries. My wife had the tuna salad wrap. Both were fresh & excellent. Will definitely go back. Check them out. Support local/small businesses.

Four of us went there for the first time and found it to be exactly what every small, "home-made-everything" cafe should be. The Thai chicken salad, quiche, breakfast items and dessert were all very good. The owner, Pat, is very friendly with 30 years restaurant experience in Cape Cod, and is enthusiastic about playing a part in re-vitalizing Freeport.
