We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Kam Ran. He was part of the Marakesh family, a truly talented musician whose beautiful sound powerfully resonated from the walls of our Congress location and throughout Austin to meet us here on Steck Ave.
Marakesh is not the same without Kam Ran. We will truly miss you, friend.

Just had lunch at this delightful find next to Lowes off Steck Ave. in N. Austin! Food was wonderful, fresh and so flavorful. I will go back and try everything on their menu! Friendly, helpful waiter, nice ambiance, and great food.

I eat there quiet often and i love it their food is really good, i had shawarma plate and the sandwich last week and this would be the best one i've ever had , the meat is very tender and rich in flavor .

Had the Greek salad with gyro on top. It was super fresh and the gyro was warm and luscious. A glass of Pinot Grigio to wash it down and then a piece of baklava. Perfect lunch!

Went today with our grandson. Wanted to try their Gyro's & Chicken Shawarma. We ordered the hummus & mama ghanoush for our apps. Both were very good. I thought the ghanoush was spicy, I'm a wimp, but was told the next time they would make it milder for me. Hubby & grandson got the gyro wrap w/FF. They both really liked them. Grandson liked his so much he ordered another one. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate. I enjoyed it very much. Ended up taking almost half it home as it was a lot on the plate. We had Baklava for dessert it wasn't overly sweet, which I liked. We'll go again to try more things one the menu.

Very cool little restaurant. You can tell it is a family that runs it. The food is really yummy, especially the Lamb kebabs and they gyro plate. The best praise is that my fourteen month old son loved the falafels and the gyro meat. I'll definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere good fresh food...chicken shawarma was actual chicken not processed stuff cooked on a rotisserie..We only stopped there for the first time to have lunch but we will go again.
