We went here for the first time for my husbands Birthday March 11th and we loved it. Great atomospehere and music..they treated us very nice and even gave us birthday shots... they were so attentive to us ... truly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back.
The club has great atmosphere and excellent food. The music which was provided by a great band and 3 of the finest blues singers in nation. D. Greenleaf, Annika Chambers, and Trudy Lynn can't be topped. More of Houston should have been out to see the show!!!
My boyfriend and I went to martini blu last night, and let me tell you that place is amazing. Everyone ,especially the owner, makes sure that you are well taken care of. The food there was very very good. My boyfriend doesn't like bread pudding however he loved theirs. We will definitely be back.
I’m new to the area, and I went to the Prince Tribute night. It was great. The performers were engaging with the audience, the drinks were good and the servers were fantastic. I will be back for sure
I went here for the first time tonight to see Stephen Richard and he is so amazing. I enjoyed the performance and the atmosphere. The staff and very nice. The drinks and food was great. I bought a CD and shared it wit my cab driver and he loved it too and his name was Angel and I know that God was in that place and surrounding me tonight. I haven't enjoyed myself like that in a long time!
I enjoyed Martini on the North many times and know this location just as grand; atmosphere, food, entertainment, all at its best. Sunday brunch - the best.
Attended the grand opening last night and it was wonderful, music was off the chain, food was delicious & elegant, service was great, moscato wine by Daniele Reale "La Matota" was on point and environment was smooth. Found my Jazz spot.
My meal was great , not my husband s tho. The waiter wasnt really good either. We asked for another candle for our table because of my eye surgery I couldnt read my menu . Waiter said his manager said no , only one per table . :(
My husband and I along with friends visited your establishment last night for the first time celebrating our Anniversary and MY, MY, MY we had the time of our lives! The band and food were on point!! Thank you all for making our night so special!! The Mosley's # It'souranniversary!!
It’s a very nice place with a soothing and intimate atmosphere. The musicians are very talented and played very well. Only problem was the 18% gratuity was included in my bill & was not disclosed to me, I had to ask to see my bill. The parking signs are confusing but overall I enjoyed my visit and I plan on attending again very soon.
Brunch menu need work.., The breakfast items were good except the pancakes look to be the frozen heat & serve, mimosas need more champagne, and the lunch items missed the whole mark.. The music was great I will go again.
Waited 1 hour for food. Food came and was inedible. Totally just thrown on a plate. We ordered bottle of wine and waiter brought it already opened to table. What a shame. Ambiance and music is great. Menu is seriously lacking and wait is waaay to long. sad :(
The music was fine. The food left a lot to be desired. The waitress did not inform me that an 18% auto gratuity had already been added to my check - it did not show up on her tablet. I gave her an additional $10.00 tip. Never again. Martini Blue will not see me again.
I was there Saturday night to see Tamara and I presented a LivingSocial coupon that for which I never received credit. I attempted to contact the managers through the "contact us" page on their website...so far crickets. This was not my first visit...my first visit was only a few days earlier to see Alex Bugnon. I feel they should not have taken the coupon upon entry but allow me to present the coupon at the completion of the service. The server was told when we entered that we had the coupon but she had to service to many tables that it may have been difficult for her to keep track.
We went for brunch and drinks. The live music was awesome. The drinks were good. The food was HORRIBLE!!! When serving a buffet for brunch it's a good idea to have a place card in front of each item letting customers know the name of the dish. Or at least add an * to your menu notifying your customers some of the items might contain fish. That would've certainly stopped me from eating the alfredo pasta dish with what looked like chicken but was really salmon (who has heard of alfredo pasta with salmon anyway??). It did not help that the "manager" returned 45 minutes later, sarcastic tone in tow, to check to see if I was still alive. When you start and end a response with "not to blame the customer" that's essentially the same thing as saying "I'm sorry but....". The but negates the apology. The hot food was not hot at all and there did not appear to be any type of heating mechanism under the trays. The fruit salad was oxidzing and was not cold. For the venue itself, it's too dark inside. Perhaps the windows, which are painted black from the previous business that occupied the space, can be replaced with a lightly tinted window.
This was supposed to be an enjoyable experience for my sister’s birthday. Firstly, we pull into the parking lot and while there are no signs for valet parking, as we walk to the door we’re then told that parking is $15. Cool. As we come in, the hostess is clearly flustered and worked entirely too hard. She kept ushering us in, but the entryway is tiny and we could only move so far. We reserved a table for 10 (at 10pm) with Leonard, but he reserved our table for 7 instead. After waiting around for 20 minutes upstairs where it was quite toasty, the helpful servers were able to put some tables together for us. Unfortunately, they were right in front of the restroom, so the person at the end of the table had to keep getting up to let people pass. We also had no view of the show. The final straw was when I ordered a dirty vodka martini (at a martini bar) and had to choose between Taaka and Grey Goose. My drink was $14 I’m a Tito’s gal. The staff tried their best to accommodate, but the event was just poorly planned. Please run me my money back. Thanks.
This was my 2nd time attending Martini Blu for Latin night following the same band Soulklave. The 1st Time was when they were at the north side location about a year ago and the 2nd time this past Friday at their new location. The band as always did a fantastic job. I enjoy and respect what this particular band is trying to do in Houston, they are truly amazing. The venue on the other hand not so great for a couple of reasons 1st it’s much to early for a Latin night on FRIDAY. As someone who attends Latin nights often I have never heard of a spot that starts the band at 7:30pm. 2nd the “DJ” did not do a great job by playing out dated songs, it sounded like it was his/her first time providing Latin music for the public. One thing that makes this band so different from others is while they go on break the group provides the DJ or venue that they’re performing at a particular playlist that the bands following enjoys. (classic salsa,Cuban salsa,Timba) Finally, I normally don’t mind a cover charge especially because when it’s promoted as 2 shows you would think that the “soundguy” would do a better job, you couldn’t even hear the singers half the time until the bands second set and still it was just OK. Toward the end of their performance, I went ahead and told my friends not to come if they weren’t already on the way. Again nothing wrong with the band because I’ve been following them since they started over a year ago but if they were to go back to this venue I don’t think I would attend.
Per the person who we made our reservation with we came before 9:30 to ensure we got a table. Actually we arrived at 9:16 and did the self parking. The attendant said it was $20 to self park and $15 to valet . Once inside we were told that we could not sit until 10 pm although we were told to come by 9:30. They sat us upstairs when there were empty table on the 1st floor. I said that I would wait until the band finished before I wrote my review but that was until the singer seemed more like he was at karaoke night with a live band. NO the singing was not the greatest nor did they make me want to dance/sing along! It’s been over 30 mins and our drink order has not arrived. Idk if we came on an off night or what but dont waste your time or money.
My family & friends reserved a VIP table to The Zydeco & Jazz Festival at the Humble Civic Ctr expecting to hv the time of our lives, but instead this was a nightmare in hell. When I say hello that's how damn hot that "Barnyard" was. The flyer was misleading AF!! They had ceiling fans blowing nothing but heat & dirt floors. Why do black people have to be done this way?! To top it off we get to the parking lot & hv to pay $10 to park. I wish I could rate it a -0. Martini Blu u guy's need nt host another event under these type of conditions. I noticed some of the older folks hd to lve due to the exhaustion frm all that darn heat. The bathroom ws the only place where you could get some AC. Y'all really dropped the ball on this one ÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔø ΩÔøΩ
