We have eaten here now several times and have really liked everything! This week we have literally been there everyday for lunch and have not been disappointed!
This is a small business and with making everything right there from scratch it’s expected that it would be slower than driving thru McDonalds
Or Taco Bell! Wish we had something like this in Kingwood! Keep up the good food!!
This is the best coffee place in Livingston, which coming from someone who doesn't drink coffee says a lot. The vibe at Milam is just so relaxed and homey feeling. It's a great place to just go and hang out with some friends for an afternoon drink.
Their avocado salad is a favorite of mine, but what I really love is their breakfast. My daughter loves the waffles and hot chocolate. Their tea is always fresh and strong, which is super important to me. I feel like I'm getting a special treat when I get to stop for breakfast.
I can't say enough about their hospitality. Every time I've walked through the door they've bent over backwards to accommodate me and make sure I was taken care of and gotten the most out of my dining experience.
My wife and I were returning to our home in Jackson, TN last Tuesday morning after a 10 day Christmas visit with our daughter in Houston. We always search the internet for local restaurants to check out. Much better than stopping at McDonald's or other fast food places at the highway exits. Had breakfast at your place last Tuesday and it was amazing! Everything made from scratch, so tasty, and great service. I wish I lived closer, but we will be dining at Milam Street Coffeehouse and Bakery on all our future trips to Houston!
My husband went in just before noon on Saturday, 7/21/18. He wanted a lemon merengue pie and they were out. He was told to come back at 2pm and his pie would be ready.
It was just a little after 2 because it takes a little time to make a lemon merengue pie but he loved it. Not a bite was wasted.
Everyone stayed to make sure his pie was prepared for him. Hats customer service. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area. I’m pretty sure he’ll sneak in a trip to Livingston to see y’all again.
PS: I’ll be shipping your pie plate back to you later this week.
Keep in mind this is not fast food. Take the time to slow down and relax. All of the food is phenomenal. Staff is very friendly even when they are busy. They may not be able to stop what they are doing to visit but they wish they could.
If you love fresh, delicious food you need to step into Milam St. Coffeehouse & Bakery. The baked items and salads are delectable. My only disappointment is there is often no quiche left. I want their quiche ALL the time!
I stopped by today and had the chicken spaghetti--absolutely delicious! The roll that came with it was soft, sweet, and warm, and the side of roasted veggies were fresh and flavorful. I grabbed a chocolatey hemp mocha and a slice of decadent purple velvet cake for dessert. While I may explode, and the button on my pants may or may not be shamelessly undone, I am one happy, satisfied camper. If you're looking for a place with friendly staff, a neat atmosphere, and delicious home cooked food, Milam Street Coffeehouse & Bakery is the place to go.
I love this place! Seriously eat here like 3x a week sometimes. The breakfast is the BEST and everyone is so nice. Today we had the pulled pork tacos and they were great. Best thing in Livingston in a while!
I have no words for how great everything is. No word in my brain is worthy enough to describe the food here. We drive in from a Houston suburb, any given Saturday, to experience the delight that is Milam's.
I have lunch delivered once week. Food is always amazing and so grateful they make a trip across town for just my one order. Hands down one of the best places in town!
Had breakfast this morning with the Mrs, ended up getting the biscuits and gravy which was excellent (milk gravy), and she had the huge waffle and fixings, I even got a bag of Texas Pecan Coffee to go. Great place and atmosphere, will be the new go sit down and have breakfast place, highly recommend!!!
Great place for coffee and breakfast and lunch. Everything is homemade. Takes the place of Starbucks. Just a neat place to go and now they are open until 6:00 Tuesday through Friday. Like hanging out here
Found this little gem when we decided to stop for breakfast while we were on the road. Cute little place! Don’t stop if you’re in a hurry though!
Firstly the staff was friendly, which always counts bigly! The service time was average but not bad I would say and the coffee is delicious! I loved it and will be returning! Big one here is the pricing wasn’t bad at all, still somewhat average for local coffee shops but worth it in my opinion.
Absolutely love this place! Love the atmosphere , the food is amazing , the drinks are too. The staff are so friendly and I’m so happy to say this little jewel is in our community! Will be a repeating customer for years to come.
Went with my mother, two kids and hubs. The pricing for what you get is most definitely a little more than I want to spend on a sandwich and salad or soup. Not a kid friendly menu, and my sons bread to his sandwich completely fell apart he had to use a fork for it. My rye bread crust was so hard it tore up my mouth. I am not saying their food didn’t taste good, it is just not worth the money spent on lunch. The tea was very good, and the environment is great and customer service is great as well. But I don’t plan to be back for lunch anytime soon. Maybe coffee or tea..
The coffee is good, food however, not so much, ordered the tomatoe basil soup, it was watered down, not much taste at all, and the 3 cheese grilled cheese was burnt, called to let them know, said I could bring it back, but noone else has complained about the soup.
I went there for brunch and it took an hour for them to bring our food to us. I ordered my eggs over hard and got them back raw. I will not be coming back.
