Visited Austin for three weeks for work. I spent the majority of my time here. Keep in mind I checked out every gaming store in the area. If you're looking to have fun and have a home away from home. This is the place!

This place is where I leaned to play magic. The staff is great. The people who play are very patient and not all full fledged MTG jerks. If you're a casual player to light serious player this is the spot for you.

This place is awesome, great selection from magic the gathering to munchkin, there is lots of space to hangout and their gaming computers are loaded with awesome games. The staff there are also very helpful and make it a fun place to be, I recommend heading down there now

New to the Austin area and was told about this place being pretty good for Heroclix on Saturdays. After visiting the store a few times and reading the Facebook posts they put, I gotta say this is a damn good store to visit and hang out. 10/10 game of the year would visit again.

Mothership is one of the best places to just get away and hang with friends at the same time. Great computers, amazing staff, and tons to do!

Mothership got it going on! I love to take my son Lewis to play standard sealed draft tournaments! We also play commander! It is so much fun! We have learned so much there! It is truly an active learning to space! Their setup really is laid back but upbeat. Everyone is open to playing magic with you. Jacob takes time to actively engage everyone in learning which cards are good in decks and he shares his skills to help everyone tweak their decks! Tom is awesome showing everyone all the great games to play. He is so nice and friendly. The place is big and its full of opportunity to learn and grow as a magic player or gamer! Lewis and I have only been playing since November and we are starting to place in the store tournaments.....which are so much fun!!!!!! Mothership gives the best deals on cards, games, and accessories!

I went here for a decent sized Magic: The Gathering tournament (28 people). The store is clean and simple, product is easy to browse and the employees are all very nice and generous with their time. The tournament was ran incredibly well, in fact, I think it's probably the best PPTQ I've been to in Texas.

They also have quite a decent LAN center with powerful gaming PC's and most popular games installed. Their internet is fast and reliable, I managed to download a game at 5mb/s and watch a twitch stream at source without actually disrupting any of the other customers which was impressive.

If you're looking for a great game store in Austin, I'd really give the Mothership a shot.

I have been to many FLGS in the Austin area and gamed at most at least once. On Tabletop Day I went over to Mothership for a few hours and had a great experience teaching and playing some of my games. The owner is always really helpful and you can tell he cares about his customers. Out of all the FLGS in Austin, Mothership is now my go-to.

I come to this store 2 or more times a week to play magic the gathering. I've always had a pleasant experience except for that one time when someone backed up the toilet or something but that's not really the store's fault. Casey and Jorge spice things up by being active players as well as the clerks that keep the place happening.

It's a 5 star place but I've seen like maybe 1 or 2 people doing board games it'd be nice if they had less board game stuff and more magic or snacks. Secret is there's a microwave you can use but they don't sell any microwavable food. Bring a burrito and win.

Full disclosure: This store is my sole source for combos and my combo addiction is pretty debilitating right now. Go buy stuff from them so I don't have to go through withdrawals.

Have not played MtG for months, visited a few other stores around Austin. Happy to say this store was not only to be the most inviting place, but the staff and players at the store were nothing short of amazing.

Thanks for the great draft and I plan to be back again soon.

Dark Elves, Djinns, and dragon board games, oh my!

I have been going to Mothership for awhile now, having the pleasure of my first Geek and Sundrys tabletop day on April 30th 2016. The staff is fantastic and helpful. The owner made me feel welcome from the very first day. I highly recommend Friday night boardgaming and checking out new games on Mondays.

Can't say enough good things about this store! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is very welcoming whether you are looking to learn a new game or break out an old favorite. Especially loved the large selection of demo copies to try in store for free! I'm sad that I don't live locally or it would be a regular hangout for me.
