Wonderful experience all around.
* easy to get to and plenty of parking
* simple picking up of tickets
* delicious and reasonably priced lunch
* excellent performance by Linda Kay Leonard as Ann Richards!
it was great & entertaining to learn more about Ann - her motivations, her skills, her frustrations. and loved the segues between oration and governing.
THANKS Stage West staff, Holland Taylor, and Linda Kay Leonard for a wonderful afternoon!
What a wonderful venue! A friend of mine organized a couple of us attending with her last night to see Hir. Stage west was amazing. I have a support dog and not only were they accommodating, but they were more than kind to me. I felt at home. The actors were absolutely captivating! Loved each one! Food was wonderful - I had the chicken crepes! Intermission drinks and desserts were waiting at our table and made for quite a lovely evening.
We saw a great show at Stage West. The staff was very helpful and the theater is intimate and comfortable. Parking on the street is ample and the proximity to the interstate and main roads makes getting there and going home very easy.
We celebrated some family birthdays with a delicious meal prior to the show. Stellar service! Fun (long) production paced with two intermissions. Great actors, accommodating facilities and all around super evening. Thanks!
This was a fantastically funny play- go see it before it is gone!!!!
The staff was wonderful. The show was excellent. And the food was delicious! Great venue for a fun night out.
Stage West is a very friendly place where you feel welcomed. The people working there are truly enjoying their time with patrons and with each other. And the productions are first rate, which of course is the real reason to go.
I like the fact that they take on some edgier material, too. I'd rather be offended (well, that would take a lot) than find myself sitting through a bland experience. So I appreciate and support risk-taking in theater.
Loved it!! Our first visit and will definitely not be the last!! We just enjoyed every thing about it! Andrea did a super job of informing us about the venue & making us feel so welcome! Can't wait to go next time!
Love Stage West. The shows this season are intriguing and I can't wait to see the ones still to come. A great list of actors, directors, and all of the other outstanding professionals who make this happen. It's a small, intimate theatre that seems a bit voyeuristic, but brings you close to the action on stage. Highly recommended!
Last night was my first time at Stage West. The cafe was very nice. The food was tasty, they serve wine, and the service was very good. The play "Ann" was great!
I went to go see Ann and the whole thing was I love how intimate the stage is with the audience. I got a special drink made me for me too! Ask for a lemonade and 7-up, simply wonderful! Food was awesome! I had the tuxedo cake at intermission. Make sure to order you dessert BEFORE intermission. Thank you so much Stage West for working so hard to put this amazing little theater together.
I traveled from out of town to see a performance of Hir and it was well worth the trip. I was beyond impressed with the venue and the show! Well done Stage West! We'll be back!
I submitted my art to the "38th Annual Show" and received a very appreciated compliment from Dana. Stage West is one of the "to do" lists in an artist's resume. I just hope my work makes the grade because I so love to show my work especially at Stage West.
Had our first visit here this evening for Sex with Strangers. What a wonderful performance, atmosphere and meal. Far exceeded my expectations. Just an all around great time, highly recommend!
Best time at stage west Sat night, awesome play, friendly staff, food looks great, will try next time. Loved the small venue, cant wait to go again!!! #stagewesttheatre
An Act of God hilarious. BJ's performance as The Almighty was priceless and show was so much fun. It was my first visit to Stage West but won't be my last. Thank you for dragging BJ over from Dallas...even though he was late on Thursday...half price wine 😁
5 Stars! Stage West is one of the most consistently exciting, and thought provoking professional theatres in our region. I am always impressed with the literature, the acting and the Directing.. the show meals are delicious too!
Loved the set! Do not agree with review in Star-Telegram. Our group of three thought play was very good. I enjoyed plot and thought characters' timing was "typical guys conversing". We (males) don't have to be talking constantly to have a conversation. Long pauses between sentences can be okay. Joey Folsom's acrobatics/body language/contortions as KJ were interesting to watch and spot on within context of what was happening in play.
I saw Arms and the Man there back when Jerry was living. Great show. Great professionalism. Over all, SW is a professional style venue. My first show I saw was Fences back in the early 1990's at the Caravan of dreams locale. The West Vickery location is more rustic and secluded. I followed Stage West at the University arena and saw a dozen or more shows including Misanthrope and a few tight productions of The Swan and Quills and Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in the mid to late 1990's. Their post millennium place on Vic. has done some inventive work including the show November. Keep it up.
