im new to austin , drove by this place yesterday , stopped in , i had beans and rice , boudin balls, fried mushrooms and gumbo , next time im gonna have to go a little early to try to get some boiled crawfish. :)
We stopped yesterday at the 620 location for first time. Best oyster po'boy! Also brought home the red beans and rice, and a quarter muffaletta. Very happy family. Will definitely stop again.
This place is absolutely amazing! We had a luncheon at the office and I called in my order by the time I got there it was hot, fresh and ready!
This market is fabulous!! Great filet mignon's, crab stuffed mushrooms, boudin stuffed pork chops...Everything in the place is incredible!!
The food was just amazing ! Good ol creole! The Boundin Balls were just out of this world , the red beans and rice were great! Everyone was very friendly ! My husband got the gumbo and said it was as good as New Orleans ! This is a little hole in the wall but absolutely a must !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is always fresh, and this about as authentic Cajun cuisine in Austin as you can get. One of my favorite spots for lunch, or to pick up dinner to bring home and cook.
Soooo good! Can’t recommend enough! Definitely get the stuffed boudin balls. Maybe 2, or 3, or 4? #TreatYoSelf
Picked up about 7 pounds of boiled crawfish last weekend and I got to tell you me being from Louisiana. This is the best place to get your crawfish in Austin hands down. The boudin was fantastic as well. I will be coming back for more.
Omg. The Gator was so amazing. And the gumbo was perfect. Definitely coming back. It's my husband and I new sea food spot.
My husband is rather picky when it comes to cajun food. I've procured chicken and sausage gumbo from many places in the Austin area in efforts to find him something he likes. Many, many places.
I brought some home today and watched him try it.
FINALLY...the look of approval!
Now I'm mad I only bought a quart.
Loved the service and the atmosphere! Total Louisiana behind those doors. The batter they use is seasoned so well and the 🥖??! Omg SO GOOD! The remoulade and coated fries were great too! Can’t wait to go back! I didn’t get to try one but their king cakes looked delicious!
Love everything I've tried and it all tastes like authentic Cajun! Had crawfish and a link of boudin yesterday and it was delicious!
Leaving this review now in honor of the recently closed location on Brodie. I know it's a little too late, but we really enjoyed the place. We ate there often, and the food was always very good. Imagine our horror when we pulled up a week or so ago to find the "this location closed" sign on the door. We will miss you guys.
I’m from South Louisiana and live in Dallas. If I’m in the Austin area, I make its point to stop by. Yesterday I had a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo, a shrimp po boy, a boudin ball and it reminds me of home!
Incredibly authentic cajun food from a displaced cajun.. we tried boudin balls, crawfish boudin, stuffed pork chop, ckn breast, tenderloin .. pork loin the best. ..all insanely yummy. Worth the price! Daily special of shrimp etouffe & gumbo would make me slap my momma ..will definitely be back, worth the drive :)
Hands down the best steaks in Austin. I got the most beautifully marbled ribeye I've ever seen outside of a restaurant. The staff is courteous and helpful. Super excited to try the duck! So happy this shop is 5 minutes from my house.
Guys. Guys! The have actual Natchitoches Meat (and Crawfish) Pies! This is the only place in Austin as far as I know to get them>
Their chicken strips are top-notch. I actually prefer them to Raising Cane's. I just wish y'all had a spicy version.
They also have Delaware Punch, which is hard to find around here, too.
And, yes, I will be coming back! Thanks for having all my favorite comfort foods! :D
As close to Cajun food we're going to get in Austin. Their products are always excellent and the staff are courteous in that pleasing southern way. I've dined in and taken out including frozen products. All superior quality.
This place is great for that cajun fix you can't get anyywhere else in Austin. The crawfish here are cooked right with the right spice and all. I'd give 5 stars but the fresh french bread with the right texture and fresh off the boat seafood from the coast itself may be hard to beat but I'm gonna give it a shot and try it next. I may just be uograding to 5 stars after. I know they bring their bread over from Louisiana weekly so it cant be that far off! My wife and I love this place!
