Tejas Coffee

About Tejas Coffee

Tejas Coffees are held each Thursday of the semester at the Tejas House (2600 Rio Grande) at 9 PM. They are informal gatherings where guest speakers come and present on interesting research, current events, etc. Refreshments are provided.

Tejas Coffee Description

Every Thursday evening at 9 p. m. during the spring and fall a speaker is invited to talk on a topic of interest at our house. The speakers are often professors but can be anyone with something interesting to talk about. Tejas Coffees are different from normal classroom lectures in that the environment is very informal: everyone sits in our living room on couches or comfortable chairs and feedback is strongly encouraged. Refreshments are served as people are mingling before and after the speaking portion. Club members are strongly encouraged to bring guests so they may meet other people as well as club members.

So, I wandered into Tejas Coffee in 2600 Rio Grande St, Austin, Texas 78705, and their cold brew was the bomb. It was like a caffeine explosion in my mouth. The café had this rustic, farmhouse vibe with wooden beams and mason jar lights. A cozy spot for sipping and unwinding.

I had a terrible experience at Tejas Coffee. The coffee was served cold, and the staff at the 2600 Rio Grande St, Austin, Texas 78705 location were rude and inattentive. I won't be giving it another chance.

Tejas Coffee is a coffee shop that defies expectations. Tucked away in 2600 Rio Grande St, Austin, Texas 78705, it's a little slice of coffee heaven that I'm glad I stumbled upon. The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by the rich aroma of freshly ground beans, and I knew I was in for a treat. I decided to try their specialty, a honey lavender latte. It was a revelation. The combination of floral notes from the lavender and the subtle sweetness of honey paired perfectly with the espresso. It was a flavor profile I had never experienced before, and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior of Tejas Coffee is a blend of industrial chic and cozy comfort. Exposed pipes and metal accents give it an edgy feel, while plush leather couches invite you to sink in and stay awhile. It's the kind of place where you can lose track of time. But what truly sets Tejas Coffee apart is its commitment to the community. They source their coffee beans locally, support local artists by displaying their artwork, and even host community events. It's a coffee shop that feels like a welcoming hub for the neighborhood. If you're looking for a coffee experience that goes beyond the ordinary, Tejas Coffee is the place to be. It's a coffee shop with heart, where every cup is a work of art, and every visit feels like coming home.

Tejas Coffee at 2600 Rio Grande St, Austin, Texas 78705 is my coffee sanctuary. The ambiance is inviting, and the almond croissants are to die for. It's my happy place, and I find myself returning whenever I need a pick-me-up.

My recent visit to Tejas Coffee was marred by a few shortcomings. The latte art was nonexistent, and my cappuccino was served lukewarm. I believe they have the potential to improve and provide a better coffee experience.
