About The Olive Branch
The Olive Branch is now located at River Square Center below Spice Village!
The Olive Branch Description
A Baylor University graduate with a Southern Baptist heritage, Leah Stewart, owner of The Olive Branch bakery and cafe, learned early that good fellowship always begins with good food. Incorporating this idea into her concept for The Olive Branch, Leah serves fresh breakfasts, a diverse lunch menu, homemade desserts, and specially blended coffees. Situated in the heart of downtown Waco, The Olive Branch is a comfortable place for fellowship: a meal with friends or co-workers, a power breakfast meeting, or a dessert-and-coffee date.

I am very much a breakfast person, so to come to a restaurant that blows my mind with their breakfast foods is amazing. I can honestly say that I have had breakfast from many of the establishments in Waco, and by far this is the best. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned perfectly, the bacon crispy, the eggs warm, the sausage juicy. Their assortment of coffees is a pleasure to experience for someone who is not a morning person. This place is off of I-35 in Waco, so you won't see it from the interstate. If you are passing through in the morning and are hungry, go to the corner of 2nd St. and Franklin Ave. We have been here before and we will be returning.
The place is great, it makes you want to stay there all day! Food was good, the coffee bar that lets you choose from 4 diff types of coffee was very nice, but coffee wants that hot. Also food service was a bit slow but the server was beyond amazing (Ethan) he made our time very enjoyable ☺️💗
The pancakes were good! I liked the food okay but wasn't crazy about the service... seems like the people working there don't care enough about customer service... I didn't like that nobody greeted us when we got there and since it's a "sit yourself" place you basically have to sit at a dirty table to save your spot... so there I am with my three kids saying "don't touch that" and so on... a nice man came from the back and cleaned our table right away though, so that was nice, but there was a family of three on the other side with a dirty table still. They sat down before we did but the person in charge of their area wasn't concerned I guess. My food was okay, not mind blowing or anything. My waiter did bring me some green salsa to go with my $11 omelet. That was probably the highlight of my meal. Again, people are eating and the servers are just so relaxed... we never got refills because our waitress never came back... I don't know if we will be going back... maybe!
I've only been twice--first time was okay, second time the only thing that was hot was the coffee. Both visits were on a Saturday and I had an omelet the first time which was very tasty, but the homemade bread seemed stale. The second visit I wanted to try their pancakes and have an egg on the side. So...supposedly you can only get your egg scrambled on weekends, and the egg and pancake both came out room temp if not cool. The walnut cinnamon pancake would have been absolutely amazing if it was just even a bit warm! The coffee choices for the bottomless cup o' Joe were nice--I especially liked the dark roast with less acidity. However, they ran out of coffee in at least 2 of the large dispensers so I didn't get to refill or try other flavors. My husband was not impressed either and tried their chicken salad to go (along with our slices of homemade bread). It was just so-so he said. We will likely not be back, even though our server was very sweet. We did tell her about the food not being warm and she could only apologize. She commented that she has heard that before, so if you want people to come back, they might want to take note of their reviews and feedback!
I had high expectations for The Olive Branch, but they were not met. The coffee tasted bland, and the pastries were stale. The overall experience was lackluster, and I won't be returning.
I can't get enough of The Olive Branch! Their cold brew is positively addictive, and the vibrant, artsy atmosphere at the 215 S 2nd St, Waco, Texas 76701 location makes it a fantastic spot for socializing and indulging in excellent coffee.
My experience at The Olive Branch was less than stellar. The coffee was served cold, and the staff appeared disinterested at the 215 S 2nd St, Waco, Texas 76701 location. I won't be returning anytime soon.
Just had my morning fix at The Olive Branch, and it was pretty rad. Located in 215 S 2nd St, Waco, Texas 76701, this coffee spot gives off some serious good vibes. Ordered their classic Americano, and it hit the spot. No fancy stuff, just pure coffee goodness. The barista was chill, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Great spot to start your day.
I had a terrible experience at The Olive Branch. The coffee was served cold, and the staff at the 215 S 2nd St, Waco, Texas 76701 location were rude and inattentive. I won't be giving it another chance.
The Olive Branch at 215 S 2nd St, Waco, Texas 76701 is a coffee enthusiast's paradise. The baristas here are true artists, and their passion for coffee shines through in every cup. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe I tried had a floral and citrusy profile that was simply divine. The attention to detail in the brewing process is commendable, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking exceptional coffee.
