Their Americano is probably the best in all of Birmingham and I could eat their egg biscuits every day! I love the staff--very kind baristas!

This place is fairly cool. It has all the quintessential hipster style vibe you get from a lot of coffee houses nowadays. The employees seem pretty nice but the prices are on the high side. Although, the place was stylish and had all the ingredients of a "cool" coffee house I felt like something was still missing. All in all, I think it is worth trying at least once. I'm sure some people will really enjoy it.

Great coffee, friendly staff, reliable wifi. Also, a good spot to grab a drink after work.

I'll drink even the most basic coffee but most enjoy properly roasted coffee that is skillfully prepared. Octane provides this and definitely belongs in the upper tier of third-wave coffee.

Great coffee and place to socialize. Excellent atmosphere and the staff is awesome! My favorite place to study.

Always populated but never packed. Some of the best cocktails around (worth the splurge), delicious coffee, and good snacks. A great local spot in a quaint neighborhood.

For whatever reason, I keep coming back to this place maybe once or twice a year

Unfortunately, about half the time, I don't actually receive what I ordered. The other half of the time it takes a long while

Avoid this in favor of the dozens of other equally tasty and far more reliable coffee shops in the ham

The coffee is good, but I haven't figured out why this establishment charges such a high premium. It certainly isn't for the friendly service, the ease of parking, the proportion of the espresso beverages, or the ability to get a table in the afternoon.
Reading other reviews, I was surprised that so many people praised the staff. I have been in to Octane several times, and I have always gotten the cold shoulder from the cashiers/baristas. It seems to be a popular place, but the appeal is lost on me.

Great coffee. I have always been able to find a table but it can be crowded.
