This is a nice winery. We bought a bottle of wine and had it outside in a very relaxing day. They carry also some great wines from South America (Chile and Argentina). The only suggestion I would make (geographically wise) is to call it “The oldest winery in the US” or something like that. America is a continent, not a country. Having said that, America’s oldest winery is “Casa Madero”, which is in a Mexico and goes back to 1597.

We had a fantastic time here. Extremely helpful, friendly, staff going above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Loved the Riesling and the Mead. Will definitely be back.

Maybe I had too much expectation for the “oldest wine yard in American”, but when I saw a freaking modern bottling factory with a graveyard on its side, I was shocked. Yes, the bottling factory is here for them to making some profit, but for a historically place like this, they should at least try to hide the modernness of this factory a little bit. Love the storage museum, that was some history I’m looking forward to see. Hope they could make it great again!

Amazing time touring the oldest Winery in the U.S. Follow our adventure via Facebook/Instagram @ Happy Campers 227 as we travel this country full time.

I went for my 25th birthday & I loved this winery. The tour was very informative, the guide was nice and the place had a great look to it. The wine was good.... I even purchased some at the end of the tasting. If I go again I want to try their restaurant. Note: If you are looking to explore vineyards, that's not here. This place is more wine making, history and underground storage tour. Really enjoyed it.

I am writing this review to solely complain about wedding planning with Brotherhood Winery because my experience with the wedding planner was very displeasing. I am having a wedding at another venue in a little over a year, but contacted the wedding planner about Brotherhood possibly supplying wine for my reception. I am picky about my wine and made a deal with my venue to supply the wine of my choice. When I finally could get a hold of the wedding planner, he was rude. I asked if my fiance and I could do a private tasting of the winery's Chilean wines because not all of them are offered on their tasting menu and this was our favorite and what we were interested in buying. We were told this was not possible, and the planner seemed to act like this was an unreasonable request. After pointing out that we would be buying several cases of wine and were told when we visited the winery that this might be possible, the planner retorted that another customer recently bought eleven cases of wine. Apparently, we were no different than this other customer. We were also told that we could purchase the bottles of wine we might be interested in in place of doing a tasting as we requested, which could have cost us between $30 to $50 plus tax if we bought only three to five bottles of their cheaper Chilean wine. Based on my own wedding planning, I am aware that venues do private tastings of their catered food and was informed at the winery that Brotherhood offers more private wine tastings for wedding couples who are having their weddings there. As with other venues, I am assuming these tastings happen together with other wedding couples and are not privately planned per couple. If so, why would it have been so unreasonable for us to attend such a tasting, together with other couples, in order to choose wine for our wedding reception? The planner was aware that we could have bought at least five cases, which could have cost between $400 and $500 (although the planner could not even provide me pricing information about their different wines when I requested it). Because of the way I was rudely treated by this wedding planner, and the impression he made that my business was not even valued, we will be buying our wine from another winery for our wedding reception. It is not worth the aggravation to deal with this person.

We went for the tasting and tour and loved it! The tour was pretty neat since they take you underground to the cellars. The tasting was pretty cheap for 5 full glasses of wine that you get to choose from a list. They even provide crackers. We ended up buying desert wines, carpe diem. Delicious!!

This is The Oldest winery in America and is a great place for a day trip from Manhattan. It's only a bit over an hour drive from midtown Manhattan. We really enjoyed the tour with wine tasting. Our tour guide was knowledgeable on wine as well as the history of the winery and she would tell you some fun facts about the place. As for tasting, we've tried a few red, white, rose and Champagne!!
This place is also good for weddings!!

Really enjoyed my experienced here. Jeane, one of the tour guides was great. Tasting and a touch for 10 bucks. I don't think you can beat that. They even give you a wine glass as a suvenier. Everybody was very friendly. The with each is very well priced. The town is cozy. Then there is the restaurant. No many options, simple but good. I really liked my food. I'll be coming back
