Wonderful place. Take the time to look at all the paraphernalia they have EVERYWHERE. Check out the tank in the back yard. Though, I don't visit Altamont because the police are too greedy with speed traps and passing out tickets for being just a few miles over the limit. It is certainly a town to be avoided. Though, the Home Front is a treasure.

Good diner food in an interesting motif. Last Saturday of the month they host a veterans gathering that us well attended.

Quaint cafe decorated with real world war II memorabilia. Stories of many local veteran's. Great home cooked meals at reasonable prices.

Great super-laid back place to eat. It's where the locals go! Delicious food, as well as a wonderful tribute to our American heroes with all of its World War memorabilia. Definitely a great place to go if you want to experience small-town American flavor.

This is the best cafe around I had the best seafood gumbo I have ever had. Don't miss out on this gem

Typically salty but really good quality cooking and nice people. Quirky WWII decor is really interesting.

As a veteran I love it as a student of history it's like being a tourist stepping back in time to 1940 . It also helps that the food is fantastic feeling like I'm back in my grandma's kitchen listening to big band music and dreaming of a better time
