Very cozy spot for a delicious breakfast! Got the Sean with sweet cream pancakes, which were light and fluffy! My husband enjoyed the corned beef hash. Staff were friendly, service was fast.

Fortunately there was one seat available. Ordered hash & eggs. The diner-made hash was very good. My seat was at the counter so it was entertaining watching everyone working together in such a small area.

If you like food, you have to stop here. The place has a true retro feel to it. I don’t think they necessarily meant for it to be that way but, it’s still cool. The people are awesome. The sweet cream pancakes are unreal. Truly unique and tasty.

Stopped here on the way through town because the reviews looked good. We were not disappointed! Turned out to be the best breakfast diner we have ever visited. Food was on point and staff was friendly and informative.

Huge portions! Clean! Neat old diner style bar, cook was fun to watch. Super experienced staff. Lots of quotes to laugh at while waiting for food. Overall great experience.

The owners are simply the best and the food is terrific. Atmosphere is great. Check out all of the wall trivets! Benn coming for years and look forward to each meal.

Loved this diner! Tiny space with tons of character. Well maintained, great diner food, super friendly staff. Good value for the price, very reasonable. Will definitely make a return trip.

Hands down the best breakfast in Penn Yan and probably the entire Finger Lakes region too. The owners and staff are very friendly and the food is incredible. They have some of the best pancakes I've ever eaten (sorry dad) and my personal favorite is the "Big Steve" which is sausage gravy on hashbrowns with toast. Unless you're really loading up, a meal for two will never cost more than $15-20. The only downside to the entire place is that seating is very limited due to the building being a remodeled train car. It's very good for atmosphere but not so much for large groups. Otherwise a great choice for a morning out.

The service was great and the food was good. I got the Sweet Pancake and found it to be good, but not great. My colleague got eggs and toast and found that the eggs were very good and the toast was also good. There isn't much space on the inside and it very much is just an old fashioned diner. Overall food was average and service was great. I would recommend this place for a quick breakfast because the food is good and is served quickly.

I love the Penn Yan Diner! Has been a staple in my life for a long time. And feels more like home in the last few years. Love Sean and Carrie!

So cool! An original diner, which was shipped by railroad decades ago. The best pancakes and home fries in town, offers real maple syrup, homemade hollandaise sauce, pies, and other comfort foods. Hurry in for the daily soup special - they sell out quickly!
