We used to come here every weekend and loved it. Since the owner and name change, my husband and I have tried several times to enjoy the food. It is just simply not the same. Food and service is never consistent, and very rarely good anymore. Sometimes you are greeted with smiles, and sometimes you deal with an awkward tension with service providers. Loss of consistency in food and service, and they CHANGED EVERYTHING that was different about the original restaurant. This restaurant used to have a quaint country feel with fun signs and awesome food. The new owners turned it into a generic diner, with a menu filled with items of the same name, but not the same taste or feel.

My recommendation: Drive two blocks down and visit Maureen's, a longer wait but awesome service and consistent food.

Good food, very good service. Lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Daily specials available.

Great place for breakfast. Lots of choices like pear almond French toast, banana walnut pancakes and good ol' omelettes! The staff is nice and the prices are good. Definitely a nice place for breakfast. They serve lunch also!

Have gone here alot, mostly on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings and my then fiancee and I love the place. Then when it came time for our wedding and picking a spot for our rehearsal dinner, on a whim we asked if they did private events. Though our parents where skeptical at first, once we sat down and had the place to ourselves, the charm took over. Then the food came out, omg fantastic, we were all surprised as to what was served and how good it tasted. The staff has always been quick, and though sometimes rushing, the food is always right, and delicious. Keep up the great work

Went to this places 3 times. First time was awsome. Food and service was terrific. Second and third time was horrible. Staff was very unfriendly and rude. No smiles and made us feel like we're not welcomed there. You can feel the racial tension in the air. Never going back there again. Been going to other places which is further. Paid more, and enjoyed more.

The ambiance is better than the service or the food. I'm not saying its bad, I'm just saying this place doesn't live up to its rep or its cozy decor.
My waitress was matter of fact and $10 for two large but ordinary pancakes was disappointing.

Nice environment, great food and it was fast although the place was full. The staff was very nice and happy. I highly recommend

One of the best breakfast/lunch places on long island. Always solid with great service.
